Citizen watch
Fast delevery. Looks great.

Beautiful Watch
I really like the watch, but do not like the watch band it was too hard to size for my small wrist. I took the watch to a jeweler and had a Speidel flex band put on it
Bill’s opinion –
Watch was received and does not work?
Received watch on time and packaged OK, but should be working and does not. Do not know if it needs a battery or not and I should not have to wonder about that issue.

Tuesday, February 27, 2024 This watch is described on Amazon’s web selling site as a Citizen Eco-Drive watch. It is NOT an Eco-Drive Watch!!! On the web site in the area PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS, Watch information, the movement is described as ‘Eco-Drive’ and in the area Product details in the section batteries the description is ‘1 Lithium metal batteries (sic) required’. I have purchased at least 7 Citizen Eco-Drive watches in the past (all still working!) and they all have two features to identify them: 1. Eco-Drive is printed on the watch dial and 2. Citizen Eco-Drive logo is engraved on the case back. Neither feature appeared on the watch I received. I tried to contact Amazon’s customer service but the automated system does not allow for these situations. I contacted Citizen’s Overseas customer service in Japan and after giving them the case number engraved on the back of the watch and the serial number they confirmed that this watch is a Citizen quartz and NOT a Citizen Eco-Drive. Why does this matter? In the brochure included in the Citizen watch box ‘Eco-Drive Getting Started Guide’ Citizen states that ‘Your new Citizen Eco-Drive watch is powered by Citizen’s proprietary Eco-Drive technology. Harnessing the power of light, from any natural or artificial light sources, Eco-Drive technology converts the light into energy that is stored in the permanently rechargeable lithium-ion cell.’ Impressive technology. This misrepresentation bothers me. The watch itself is a decent quartz watch. Great dial design, good dial diameter, accurate quartz movement. Ordinarily I would be satisfied with such a watch. However, I am returning this watch as a matter of principle: I do not want to encourage sellers who misrepresent their products. Both the seller (Amazon.ca) and the manufacturer (Citizen Watch Co.) bungled this sale. The first by incorrectly describing this watch on its selling site and the second by including an Eco-Drive brochure in its watch box for a watch that was not an Eco-Drive. Purchase this watch if you are looking for a decent Citizen quartz watch. Don’t purchase this watch if you are looking for a Citizen Eco-Drive watch. It isn’t.Additional information written Tuesday, March 5, 2024 Subsequent to my original review above, Citizen Watch Co. overseas customer service department (they are based in Hong Kong not Japan as I indicated above) had the Amazon web site correct the movement description to ‘quartz’ and not ‘Eco-Drive’ as originally indicated. When I spoke to Citizen Canada’s customer service the representative did not know if Amazon had removed the Eco-Drive brochure from the watch box that it sends out with the watch. If you do order the watch and receive this brochure simply throw the brochure out. It has nothing to do with the watch you received.

Pleased with the watch. Not impressed that the battery was dead three days after receiving it. Cost $10.00 to replace.
