I will have to firstly admit, I am not the greatest at reading directions…but still. This was one of those comedic moments that would have made a great standup routine. I got the watch and immediately could tell that it was way too big. (Typical, as it's a men's watch and I am a small wristed lady who loves bold watches) In the box was a small booklet with basic instructions and upon inspecting the watch, there is a kindly placed teeny tiny arrow to show me which way to gently wrench open the latch. Only, between the directions and the arrow, I was getting some very conflicting information on which way I am supposed to open this adjustable latch. 30 minutes later I am pretty sure I am about to break or have already broken this thing. My daughter tried helping (she is usually much better at this stuff) once she had exhausted her mental powers I tried again. 2 hours later, the latch came open due to patience and intuition and realizing that I needed to ignore the instructions. Then I got it on, measured to my wrist and tried- once again- to follow the instructions to put the latch down. NOPE. lies all over again. Don't use your hand, use the tool that you got it opened with to gently pop it back down. Hard to explain, just be gentle, that is all I can recommend. At this point I was so ecstatic and put it on with great pride. In my Euphoria, I didn't watch how I was putting it on and actually panicked when I couldn't get it off again! It took popping the latch to actually get it off, as it had gotten stuck.
10 minutes later and plenty of close inspection, I got it. It's not hard, just not like other watches tend to be. I do love the watch, it's beautiful, and easy to read with the little blue tips on the watch hands. I love the simple design of the black on black design but still the functionality of the blue to help me quickly check the time while I am working. I love it, now that I am confident how it works lol. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a simple and very stylish watch. My husband even loved it. He was tempted to take it for his own.
