I wanted a watch that not only has the date but the day, too. Being retired, I often forget what day of the week it is (never mind the fact I could just look at my cell phone, but flicking my wrist is easier than digging in a pocket).
This is a very nice watch that appears to be well constructed, easy to operate and, so far, keeps time.
However, there are a couple ad discrepancies that should be addressed:
1. It’s listed as “ultra-slim” at 10mm, or .39 inches. That’s not ultra-slim or slim for that matter. In the professional watch world, 8mm or less is considered ultra-thin. This watch is in the “thin to medium” category.
2. Its claim to be “waterproof” is misleading as that word may give the impression that no water could ever enter the case; however, the instructions state it’s “5 ATM waterproof” while also stating don’t subject it to hot water. It, therefore, is water resistant to 5 ATM.
Again, so far it has survived hand washing and an unexpected rainstorm, so it has lived up to that claim.
There is no denying that this is a nice looking watch, sporty in most respects, with a visible day and date feature that’s a nice touch.
Construction is solid and the overall coloring, black in my case, is perfectly applied with no ripples or aberrations.
Kudos for the smooth mechanism that is easy to operate and doesn’t seem to have any internal burrs that make setting the date and time difficult.
Watchband is silicone and is flexible and easy to use. Too bad it’s not a quick release for easy band swapping, but I can live with that.
Overall, I’m impressed.
Pricing is well within reason for this style of watch.
