App is little more than spyware
1. As a watch a. I find it to be too large and too thick for my liking. b. I find that I cannot read the display at night because the hands and numbers are not luminous enough. c. The alarm can’t be heard. It would never wake me up.2. As a connected device a. The backlight for the lcd display only stays on for about 5 seconds unless you do something. So you have very little time to select your action e.g. turning the dial to rotate the components of the date or time. I tried to find some way to keep this on on a permanent basis but there does not appear to be one. I am sure this is to extend battery life. b. There is a lot of setup required for most of the features. c. You have to create an account and download an app to connect your watch to your phone. I understand that an app would be required but there is really no legitimate reason for an account to be required. This requirement is to enable Tissot to collect the maximum amount of private data about you that it can. If you read the privacy policy you will find that it basically gives them permission to collect all the data they can from your watch and phone. This includes such things as sex, height, weight, age etc. Anything you type into the watch during setup will be sent to Tissot. In addition, they can track your location and record that. The list of who they can share this info with (read that as selling your private dta) is extensive. This spyware feature is common to apps downloaded to your phone. In the end I decided to return the watch. I just can’t justify paying $1200 dollars to Tissot so that they can collect and sell every scrap of information about me that they can collect.

This company is a joke
After recent APP update watch doesn’t connect to the phone .Now try to call them ask for troubleshooting! I’m trying 3 days with no luck. This must be some luxury joke.

Great idea for a watch
This is a big watch with a very readable, clear dial, at the same time it’s very light. For folks, like myself, that are looking for a traditional look-and-feel of a timepiece with certain smart watch features, Tissot T-Touch is a prefect idea. Unfortunately, devil’s always in the details. There’s number of issues that are greatly degrading overall quality:- Bluetooth pairing is not as straight forward as it should be, which is not the end of the world, but the connection is not stable and sometimes to reconnect a user must perform the whole process of uninstalling the app, clearing the BT config on the smart phone, reinstalling the app and performing the whole paring procedure again. Sounds like a major headache? That’s exactly what it is.- Certain feature advertised by Tissot (i.e. GPS tracking) are still not available in the latest available app release. And there’s no announced date when it actually will be.- In order to have the smart phone app and watch connected, GPS has to be on all the time. WHY!?!?!?! I do care about my privacy and I have GPS enabled only when I need it. Most of the feature (meteo, notifications, step counter, compass etc.) do not require GPS.- The solar charging capabilities don’t seem to be very effective.I’m giving two stars to ease out my disappointment. Despite very pleasing design, it is still just a great idea for a watch, not much else.

I love the watch but
it came from Singapore and 3 weeks later I received a letter from the US custom asking me to pay $50.It’s the first time I have to pay custom fee when I order items from Amazon.

My search has ended…
The watch I’ve been searching for.PROS– Display: Always on notification area, ticking second hand.- Battery: Over two months and counting, still with full bars. Very low maintenance.- Looks: It’s a Tissot, all premium materials, titanium.- Navigation: Mostly ‘parallel’ (my word) meaning little digging into menus to get to what you need. Main categories on the watch face perimeter itself. Rotating crown works great.CONS– Notification vibration is a bit weak.- Could use a placeholder screen (Tissot logo Screensaver maybe) when you don’t want to display any specific information.Depending on the individual-No heart rate, no GPS.

Device was not accurate.
I purchased this watch about 2 months ago. I had been looking at it since before it was even available in the United States. My wife bought me the first Tissot T-touch Gen. 1 watch in 2000…I own a calibration laboratory and found it to always read within the manufacturer’s stated accuracy. This watch was a purchase she wanted to make for me as a 60th birthday gift as she knew how much I loved the first one, but it was getting old and Tissot did not backlight the Gen. 1 t-touch.I was surprised and truthfully quite shocked to find that this new watch was 400% to 500% out of tolerance…several degrees off in temperature mode and again in barometer accuracy, neither of which could be user adjusted.Still, I wanted to try to work with the manufacturer to try to remedy this problem. Now for the last couple of months I have attempted to contacted Tissot several times AND HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING! NOT SO MUCH AS A RETURNED EMAIL, WEB CONTACT OR EVEN A CALL!I gave up and returned the watch earlier last week…sad!I just wanted to let any of you that might be heading down the same road know that there are obviously some quality and customer care issues with Tissot…I am saddened to report that they are not the same as when this product line was new just 20 years ago.
