Very nice watch. I’m kind of shocked, in fact.
This is a Flieger Type B style watch, based upon the standard developed for German airmen in WWII. It’s main feature is an emphasis on *easily* communicating the time, especially minutes/seconds within the hour.Although this is a very common style across many watch brands, few make a quartz version in a large 45mm (or larger) size (for visibility AND to hold truer to the original standard of 55mm). Still fewer make such widely available on (reputable) sites. In fact, this is one of the *only* watches available that comes close to meeting these criteria. That’s a good thing. Here’s the good, bad and ugly in my opinion.The Good: Actually, just about *everything* about this watch falls into this category. It seems to be accurate, it has a good build-quality (which is not a given with Invicta) , its strap is comfortable and it’s face is *close* to the standard of being very visible. Daydate are nice to have (though not part of the Flieger standard) and they’re placed in attractive positions on the dial. Finally, the synthetic sapphire (actually “flame fusion” but it’s the same thing) is *very* (very) nice to have.The Bad: The lume probably could be better and the (kinda weird) green minute markings aren’t *at all* effective. The 60 minutes/seconds markings probably could’ve been longer as well. Perhaps the biggest problem for some — although it doesn’t bother me, terribly — is that the seconds hand doesn’t match the markers but that’s common across many quartz movements. Finally, the seconds hand is tipped in dark red beyond the hours circle; making it difficult to read. The rest of the seconds hand is visible though but dark red was a poor choice.The Ugly: Not a thing.Had Invicta chosen (larger) white numerals for the minutes/seconds with a brighter seconds hand tip and improved the lume, this would’ve been just about the best watch available at the price or anywhere *near* the price. In fact, it would be a bargain at twice the current price. Still this watch offers terrific value as it is and it seems to be a very good watch, for now.. Time will tell (so to speak) but, so far, I’m very happy with this watch and I’d buy it again.Finally, I’ve not been Invicta’s biggest fan but this is a watch that might just change my mind.

Best âluxuryâ watch for the value
This is a 56 dollar watch so you shouldnât expect much to begin with. But this watch has exceeded expectations. It was easy to read even while riding my motorcycle. The calendar is easy to set. The numbers glow when they absorb enough sunlight. Itâs thick and feels durable. The crown is large and easy to adjust the time.Changing the strap took 2 minutes. A 7 dollar NATO strap completes this watch in my opinion. As far is being a field watch, this one would be questionable. But, if you need a daily time teller it is excellent as far as practicality.â 22mm straps fit this perfectly in case you were wondering.DISLIKES: my only complaint was the packaging. The watch was literally loose inside of the box. When I opened it up I noticed that there was some sort of debris on the backside of the watch. It was an easy cleanup but it was just quite odd. The box was packaged in an envelope. It wouldâve been a lot more professional if it were packaged and some sort of box with bubble wrap as a buffer around it. Despite this complaint I really do enjoy this watch.

Invicta Aviator
Had this watch for a few weeks now. I originally wanted an IWC but unfortunately the $6k price tag reminded me quickly that my paychecks won’t support a purchase like that. So I settled on this one. At $60, I can not complain one bit.It tells time, the day of the week, and the date. All very accurately.I have gone swimming with it and done other activities that test its durability. It’s handled it with no problem. I know you’re not suppose to take a watch into a hot tub, but I always do. And this watch was just fine.It looks and feels durable and has that old German Flieger look to it. The lume is about average. When you awake in the middle of the night and your eyes are not focused, it gives just enough of a glow to see the hour and minute hand. Perfect for me.The date window is kinda small but oh well.It is an almost exact replica of a $700 Hamilton.It is a slightly bigger watch but not typical Invicta big. It’s 45mm which isn’t huge by any means. But big enough it’ll get noticed.The leather strap is substantial. It handles water well. I’ve never been a fan of Invicta basically because a majority of their products look ridiculous.But I like this one. I just hope it lasts.UPDATE 1-17-18:Wore it swimming in a pool and hot tub. The crystal fogged up and has stayed that way for several days so far. I have placed it on a window sill to get some direct sunlight. Hopefully that will help.

Large watch
I like the size of this watch. The day of the week is not abbreviated, spelled out completely. The dial face is just different enough to make it enjoyable to wear. It is accurate and the price is well worth the purchase. I would buy another one in a minute.

Arrived already running with mold growing inside,
Watch arrived today, once I opened the box noticed that the watch was running, which considering I ordered new was a nice red flag for how this order was gonna be. So not only was it running, but band has obvious signs of wear, protective plastic for the glass was wadded in the box. While inspecting all this my hand warmed the watch to bring out a nice moisture ring as shown above, which also has allowed some mold to start growing inside the watch, noticeable on first pics hour hand. There is also an issue with the day of the week indicator, it’s frozen and unable to move. Sure is some nice quality control from both invicta but more so amazon, as it appears I received a watch with a know issue that was returned, and then resold it as if it was a brand new product through their site.

I received the watch well packed, in a sturdy Invicta box. The watch itself had the foil stuck on both the front and back of the body, fine.The watch itself, just the right size, relatively light and well made. The movement is accurate, keeping accurate time after three weeks of use. They look exactly like the picture. If anyone likes this style, I recommend to buy it.
