    good for sensitive skin
This balm cream is amazing! It’s incredibly moisturizing without feeling sticky or heavy. My skin was red, dry, and itchy, but after using this cream, it feels smooth, hydrated, and calm. A true lifesaver for sensitive skin, truly effective

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5 Healing Ointment and Soothing Therapeutic Multi Purpose Cream
Amazing Product , **Review: La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5 Healing Ointment and Soothing Therapeutic Multi Purpose Cream**La Roche-Posay’s **Cicaplast Balm B5** is a versatile, skin-soothing product that excels at healing and repairing damaged or irritated skin. As someone who values effective skincare, especially for sensitive or compromised skin, I found this balm to be a fantastic multi-purpose solution.### **Texture and Absorption**The texture is thick, creamy, and comforting, yet it absorbs surprisingly well without leaving a greasy or sticky residue. It creates a protective barrier on the skin, which helps lock in moisture and promote healing without clogging pores. This is ideal for people with sensitive skin or those prone to breakouts.### **Key Ingredients**The star ingredients in this balm include **Panthenol (Vitamin B5)** and **Madecassoside**, both known for their healing, anti-inflammatory, and soothing properties. The Panthenol works to hydrate and promote skin regeneration, while Madecassoside, derived from Centella Asiatica, helps calm irritation and redness. Additionally, the balm is fragrance-free, paraben-free, and suitable for sensitive skin, which is great for those who are prone to allergic reactions or have very reactive skin.### **Performance and Versatility**What sets the **Cicaplast Balm B5** apart is its multi-purpose use. It can be applied to a variety of skin concerns, from healing cuts and scrapes to soothing dry patches, eczema, and even post-procedure skin (like after laser treatments or chemical peels). It is also great for repairing the skin barrier, especially for those dealing with extreme dryness or irritation from environmental factors like harsh weather or sunburn.I’ve personally used it on dry, irritated skin, and noticed significant improvements overnight. It’s particularly effective on dry hands, chapped lips, and even as a spot treatment for dry patches or healing blemishes. The protective layer it creates helps speed up the skin’s healing process without causing irritation or discomfort.### **Drawbacks**The only potential downside for some users might be the richness of the formula. While it absorbs well for most skin types, those with oily or combination skin may find it a bit too heavy for daily use on the face, particularly in humid climates. However, it’s perfect for targeted areas or during winter when the skin needs extra protection.La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5 is a must-have for anyone dealing with sensitive, dry, or irritated skin. Its multi-purpose healing properties make it a versatile addition to any skincare routine, and the soothing, non-irritating formula is perfect for all ages and skin types, including those with sensitive skin. If you are looking for a reliable, gentle, and effective product to repair and protect your skin, this balm is a top choice.

This balm is formulated with vitamin B5 (panthenol) and shea butter to provide intense hydration and repair, and it’s incredibly gentle, making it safe for even the most sensitive skin types—including babies. The texture is thick and rich, yet it absorbs well, creating a protective barrier that shields the skin from environmental aggressors while promoting healing. It’s fragrance-free and doesn’t contain any irritants, which makes it ideal for people prone to allergies or those who simply prefer products without added scents. One of the standout benefits is its versatility. On my third tube
This is my current holy grail.Pros:- amazing for price point- Repairs skin barrier- Great for cold climate (and I use in FL now)- Pairs well with tretinoin- Soothing; won’t burn your skin if it’s sensitive/irritated like other moisturizers do- Fully absorbs overnight- Truly multipurpose and good for hands- No fragrance- No greasy residueCons:- Generally too heavy for daytime and under makeup unless it’s winter but you can use less and spread it out- It’s not oily/greasy but there is a bit of a white castI would not say the cons are really cons as long you understand what you’re buying. I use this primarily as a night cream with tretinoin and I wake up with moist glowing skin. It truly repairs. I would get more use out of it if I still lived in a cold climate but I highly recommend for others that do! My skin would burn using other products because it was that dry and sensitive and sometimes I still feel it when I travel. This is the only cream that is truly relieving and soothing.

    Chemical Peel
I was advised by my esthetician to use this on my face after my chemical peel. I do have to say while yes, this does keep my face very hydrated from the chemical process, it does cause a little bit of oiliness to oily prone skin. It wasn’t “sticky” per say, had no odor, and was a good amount of product for the size. However, i will say it did cause a bit of burning sensation, let me say this may be due to my chemical peel OR my eczema NOT the product though. Very airy and fluffy consistency, not too thick. I’d purchase again due to her recommendation and my skin did get better very quickly more than usual from the peel, please advise with your doctor as this was what advice i was given on my skin type!

    amazing for post chemical peel
I had a chemical peel and used this daily sometimes 3 times a day to help with the recovery. you are supposed to keep the skin moist but i was worried the vaseline or aquaphor would be too thick. i slathered this on my face throughout the day and my skin was just glowing. it does leave a white sheen that makes you look like you are wearing a mask which is a bit weird. it also does not necessarily absorb into your face so everything your skin touches wil get sticky and greasy – such as your hair and pillow. but the results are worth it. it has an added benefit of antiinflammatory ingredients and having darker skin this did wonders for my post chemical peel.a++

My skin is extra dry and I love the feeling that this balm gives me. I noticed that the regular b5 balm seems to have a different formulation compared to the one that is called “soothing therapeutic” and so I have specifically bought this one because I love the texture. I like going to bed with the thick layer on top of all my serums and retinol.
