Watchband is very nice and the fit was perfect. Compared to others I tried. I like the easy fit pin adjustment to put the band on the watch. Very cool feature!

You almost need to be an engineer to figure out how the latch works
Looks – the look of this watchband is fine, as long as you are looking for patent leather with an alligator skin pattern.Latch – I’ve been around a long time now and I’ve owned all kinds of watches and watchbands, and I’ve never seen a latch as complicated as this one. And the manufacturer didn’t include any instructions with the product. So strange! I had to go to the Amazon page for this product and piece together how to make this work…IMO, it’s not worth the effort.This latch has a quick-release mechanism. To get it to let go, you have to push both sides of the latch located below the faux buckle.The skin of my wrist actually got pinched between the metal plate of the rapid-release buckle and the strap…nothing painful, but annoying!It took a little while and a little head-scratching to figure out how to get the strap to slide through the buckle. It’s not immediately intuitive, but you have to rotate the upper part of the metal strap cover down so the peg faces forward. Then you slip the strap through and rotate the peg up through a hole in the strap.Once this is done, you slip your hand through the strap and clip one side, and then the other shut.This is, frankly not all that comfortable or easy to use. If my other strap wasn’t almost entirely trashed, this one would be on its way to the circular file. I’ll try it out until I can get another one, but I don’t have high hopes of my experience changing.I wanted to make sure that it wasn’t just me, so I asked two more people to try to adjust the strap and close the band. They tried this and that and this and that, and one of them simply said, “It makes no da#n sense.” The other one said that it’s just too over-engineered. They agreed with each other that just using a traditional strap and buckle would make a LOT more sense. They both recommended a 1-star review.So, there you go!1 star

Fit my Heritor Helmsley perfectly
I got this as a replacement band for my Heritor Helmsley, and it fit great. I love having the deployment clasp, it makes it so much easier to put my watch on and take it off. The alligator pattern is beautiful, and adds an extra touch of class to an already classy watch. Very happy with it.

Patent leather look and feel
While this watch band isn’t listed as patent leather, is sure has the look and feel to it. I chose this band to go with a pair of brown patent leather shoes worn for more dress or formal events. Tipically the watch band would normally be smooth for a formal look, but I wanted to give it more character with the alligator stamp. For those that are wondering, I believe the band is fully leather as patent leather often has a plastic coating on the top for protection and gloss. The band did not have any plastic smells when I opened the package as another reviewer noted. The butterfly clasp is similar to many others on the market and is easy to use when you know how simple it is to attach the two sides together. The quick clip spring bars are easy to use and stay securely in place. The band is fairly stiff and the butterfly clasp doesn’t really help with that feeling. This band is on a watch that I don’t wear often so it may take longer than usual to break in. My wrist is eight inches and the band clasp pin is in the second to last hole. This band will not fit large or thick wrists. Overall the band is a good product, but keep in mind it is extremely shiny and will likely remain that way for the life of the band.

Very Glossy
This watch strap is very glossy/shiny. The first thing that I noticed when taking it out of the packaging was how deep black it looks. The strap itself seems made well. It is a little bit stiff, but should soften up with use. The deployant clasp has good action to it and adds to the class of the overall look.
