I can't believe they can make a watch of this quality at this price. Yes, it is a quartz movement, but it is a Seiko meca-quartz VK64, so when the chrono is running it sweeps like a mechanical movement. There is no seconds sub-dial, however. One sub-dial shows 12/24 hour time, and the other is the minute counter for the chronograph, so the only time you can enjoy the sub-second sweep is when the chrono is running, which, theoretically, you could leave running all the time with the only downside being battery life. Legibility of the dial is very good under all lighting conditions (except in the dark, as there is no lume on the dial or hands at all). The case is finished beautifully, with a brushed main body sandwiched between a polished bezel and case back. The crown and pushers are decorated, and the domed crystal gives it an elegant, vintage look that has already attracted several favorable comments. The texturing on the dial is actually gorgeous, but sadly the dark color of the sub-dials hides the fact that they are grooved unless you get a bright, direct hit of sunlight on them. The hour markers appear to be applied rather than stamped since the edges appear sharp and vertical. I'm glad they left the logo off the dial. The logo works just fine etched into the case back. The band is OK, but is not the nicest grained leather out there. It's a bit stiff and cheap-feeling. It suffices for now, but I'll likely put a replacement of higher quality on it to bring the band up to the perceived quality of the rest of the watch. The butterfly clasp is a nice touch however, and is unexpected at this price point. Again, it's not the highest quality piece as the joints are a bit loose and wobble from side to side a small amount, but the fact it is there at all just adds to the amazing value of this watch.
