5 stars because of the price, but a couple of QC issues
I don’t know what the original price of this watch was, but for 30 dollars it was a steal. All stainless steel case, decent leather strap (very comfortable), applied indexes and arabic numerals, basic but reliable Seiko movement, perfect dimensions for any wrist (40 mm case diameter, 47 mm lug to lug) and good finishing on the case and the strap. The dial has a nice sunburst effect; the color varies from blue to a dark turquoise, depending on the light conditions. The dial has curved edges which gives a classy vintage touch to the watch. The lugs have an interesting shape; they are reminiscent of Omega, I think. The top of the lugs are brushed, which is a nice touch and a surprise for me, since this wasn’t visible on the product’s images. Unfortunately, the unit came with two QC issues: the digit “1” at 12 o’clock is misaligned and there’s a piece of black dirt wandering around the dial!

Very poorly made. Dude not jeep accurate time and stem failed to set correct day. Crown shape causes bright reflections so that you cannot see the (incorrect) time. Timex is 200% better.

Lo mejor es su caja de acero
El reloj llegó con la baterÃa descargada, tuve que ponerle una nueva. La posición intermedia de la corona para ajustar la fecha es difÃcil de establecer ya que el recorrido de entre posiciones 1 y 2 es muy corta. El dÃa de la semana no puede cambiarse en forma rápida, es decir, hay que avanzar las manecillas los dÃas que sean necesarios hasta alcanzar el correcto. También, venÃa sin manual. El reloj parece un tÃpico reloj barato chino, sólo lo salva la caja, la que es totalmente de acero inoxidable y la tapa trasera que es atornillada. El reloj es barato y obtiene lo que vale.

Armitron offers very affordable watches. This model is nicely designed. The case material has a nice finish for its price point as an “affordable watch” – you can’t go wrong with stainless steel. I will say that the band material is not that great (which is why I’m rating this watch at 4/5 stars). You can always “upgrade/change” the existing watch band if you want. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Cheers.

En general es un reloj muy bonito con sus pequeños detalles que son bien justificados por su bajo precio. Lo recomiendo completamente para los que nunca han tenido un reloj antes y que no son exigentes en exceso. El reloj es elegante pero no se ve fuera de lugar en escenarios mas casuales, lo que lo hace muy versátil e incluso puede ser usado como un reloj de uso diario.Pros:- Es de 40mm de diámetro, asà que deberÃa de gustar a un rango muy amplio de hombres, desde muñecas delgadas hasta muñecas enormes.- Es de movimiento de cuarzo japonés lo cual lo hace muy exacto a diferencia de los relojes mecánicos.- Es “hackeable” lo que quiere decir que el segundero se detiene cuando vas a modificar la hora, esto es muy útil para sincronizar bien la hora.- Tiene la complicación “day/date” (dÃa de la semana y dÃa del calendario) que en lo personal es super útil. Viene en español y en inglés.- La correa de cuero es de buena calidad, es de piel genuina.- Su diseño es atemporal, lo que quiere decir que se hubiera visto bien en los años 60, 80, 90 y también se verá elegante en el futuro.Contras:- Aunque se repite en el apartado de pros… Es un movimiento de cuarzo, lo que quiere decir que eventualmente vas a tener que reemplazar la baterÃa (aunque para esto van a tener que pasar años). Al ser de cuarzo también pierde su cualidad de ser una pieza para coleccionar.- Tiene poca resistencia al agua. Mucho ojo pues en el frente del reloj dice: “water 100 resist”, pero a diferencia del estándar en metros, el 100 hace referencia a pies… lo que en metros serÃan unos 30 metros. 30 metros es poco y no deberÃas meterte a nadar con el reloj, ni siquiera deberÃas bañarte con el reloj, ya que 30 metros hace referencia a la presión que soporta el reloj a 30 metros de profundidad y al nadar puedes ejercer fuerzas mayores de las que el reloj soporta.- Las “springbars” o barras de resorte que trae el reloj son de baja calidad y si las mueves con un poco de presión hace una especie de “clic”.- El cristal del reloj es de mineral lo cual atrae mucho el aceite de las manos y pareciera que siempre se está ensuciando. Esto no pasa con un cristal de zafiro (pero en este rango de precio es imposible pedir cristal de zafiro asà que no lo considero un punto en contra realmente).
