Looks great. Material be difficult to work with until it wears in and gets a little skin oil on it.
I’ve bought this along with a few other tropic straps from Amazon. This rubber is stiffer compared to very noodly silicon straps and I feel like it’s for sure going to hold up better. The material has a ton of friction and at first that made it really difficult to put on. Not to be gross but that issue is greatly reduced after the strap has some skin oils on it. If you get the strap new and would like speed that up you can rub the strap on your forehead and that should be fine until the strap gets washed with soap and water.Otherwise I love the look of the strap and outside of being too grippy I like the feel of it. It comes with both sizes so I can give each a try and I think I like the short and long strap for different reasons.

Good, not perfect.
I decided to try my old Citizen on a rubber strap, and this was the best match I could find with 23mm width.I like the woven pattern and the way it matches the face of the watch.I HATE that it is a huge PITA to put on and take off. The end of the strap doesn’t want to go into the first retaining loop, and when you do get it in the second loop is even worse. It has a tab inside that seats itself into the strap, and basically locks this thing on your wrist. My hand cramped up trying to put it on.You can easily slide the keeper with the tab off, so that makes it a bit easier. Still a PITA.

Not the best, not the worst
I purchased this for a Seiko Turtle, I wanted a tropic strap that would match the watch and let my wrist breathe. I own multiple Barton straps and this one was a disappointment. As other reviews mentioned the strap is stiff, much too stiff to be comfortable, this might correct itself with time, but it’s not comfortable out of the box. The holes are widely spaced, so it’s hit or miss if you will find one that fits, in my case it’s ether too snug or too loose. The strap is definitely heavy duty, no question about the thickness or quality of the materials. The price is inexpensive so I guess you take your chances on this one.

Terrible compared to other Barton straps
I have other Barton straps and this one is much stiffer and feels much lower quality. The stiffness makes it very difficult to put on and take off my watch. In addition, there is a strong chemical smell that is apparent when the watch is close to your face. Very disappointed. Quite frankly, this is garbage.

Great Strap
This strap matches my Longines Hydro Conquest perfect ! I love the softness and fit , the quick release is great and I love the way the strap keepers lock in the strap . The texture and design really makes the watch ROCK !! This strap is a keeper .

If you are in a hurry to put on or take off your watch? Forget about it.
Great quality, terrible design. Due to the band having hard reinforced “perforated” edges along the outside edges of the strap, it takes an inordinate amount of torque to secure the strap end thru the loops. Basically, it just sticks, and you end up wiggling, pushing & pulling, using way too much effort in the process. Not to mention, all of this torquing puts excess stress on the lug pins. Undoing the strap is every bit as difficult. Its just a dreadful experience. Maybe over time, the edges will soften up and smooth out some, although I’ve been dealing with this for 5 weeks and I’m seeing no improvement. I’m throwing in the towel and will track down a different tropical style diver band.

Excellent tropic strap with room for improvement
I previously bought two other tropical straps, but each had some issues. So I returned both of them. This tropic strap from Barton is an excellent item with both short and long straps included in the package. I have a 6.5-inch (or 16.5cm) thick wrist, and the shorter version fits me nicely. Offering two different lengths in the same package is an ingenious option, but I wish Barton would let buyers to choose a short or a long strap instead of selling the package with both straps. I ended up choosing the short strap, while keeping the unused long strap in my desk drawer.As for the styling, this strap looks sturdy, transforming my ordinary quartz watch to look like a more expensive tool watch. The overall finishing quality is good. Some reviewers point out this tropical strap is too stiff. I agree… but I feel fine after wearing this strap for several hours a day. The only minus is that the strap keepers are too tight and hard to adjust. I hope Barton offers more color options, including brown and khaki.

Had to get 23mm for a citizen brand watch. Barton straps saved my watch. I can’t wear many leathers. This FKM rubber is awesome! Flexible, high quality and comfortable. No complaints!
