A Great First Watch
Firstly, I would like to state that I am a first-time watch purchaser. With that said, let’s get into the review.With regard to design, the stainless steel case is the highlight of the watch. It is eye-catching, but not in a glaringly obvious way. The clock face has an interesting textured finish that may shift in appearance depending on the angle at which the watch catches light. The hands of the watch are just the right size, with thin profiles that don’t clutter up space. A plus is that the hands are luminous should one need to look at the time in a dark environment, but the degree to which they are luminous depends on how much light exposure the watch receives during the day.Being an Eco-Drive, this watch runs on light, and can accumulate energy from any light source (the sun being the best bet). For a frame of reference for how long the watch can run, the manual stated that a full charge is achieved with 30 hours of direct sunlight exposure, and that a full charge can keep the watch going for 8 months. However, this is assuming there is no additional light exposure over that duration, which is an unlikely scenario. What I did to with it right out of the box was put it by an open window (with a screen, of course) for couple of days. After that, it was good to go. I’ve had it for a little over two months now, and leave it by the window when I’m not wearing it.In terms of comfort, I have worn this watch for hours at a time without any complaints. The composite band has two loops and a buckle enclosure to secure it on your arm/wrist, and do a pretty good job of securing the watch while also causing minimal irritation. The band does occasionally loosen up enough to let the watch slide a bit, but this is fixed with a quick adjustment.Pricing on this watch fluctuates a bit on Amazon, but seems to stay steady around the mid-100 range (130-160). It might be worth waiting until the price goes back down from about $145, which is the price as of the writing of this review (3/17/15).Overall, I am very happy with this particular model. While I have little experience with watches, I can appreciate a well-crafted one, and for the price I paid this one definitely fits the bill. Running on light is just an added bonus. A worthy purchase for anyone interested in my opinion.

Great watch ditch the strap.
Have had this watch almost a month now just over 3 weeks. Watch has held its time to the second. The watch seems to hold up well and is very sleek. You can wear just going to get groceries to a formal event or having fun outdoors without looking out of place. I have not tested it swimming yet but will be another update for that.The cons only are with the strap. While the design looks nice it’s function is mediocre. The watch will slip backwards and needs to be adjusted forward constantly. If I tighten to next notch it causes sweat and is a bit to tight especially since rubber doesn’t breathe. The band’s to hold the excess strap down tend to slide up allowing the flap to stick out.To remedy this I have bought a NATO strap which feels much better and comfortable. I have provided pictures of this as to show the look. Many people have asked and don’t see many or any of these with a NATO. This watch fits the 22mm straps.I give the watch 5 stars while the band I give the band on the watch a 2.Update: 10/25/2019I have taken this watch to the beach a few times in very rough conditions. I have sprayed high pressure hose on it, been covered and stick in sand and mud, banged around a bit. This thing had pretty much gone through the gauntlet. Hasn’t lost time and have had no issues. This watch is a lot tougher than it looks.

Great value.
Itâs a great watch and very accurate. Citizen makes a good product and I bought this one because it looked nice without looking like it was trying too hard. Thereâs nothing worse than a cheap watch trying to look expensive. I wear it mostly to work or for more outdoorsy functions where I donât want to wear my more expensive watches which may get ruined. Nevertheless, I do receive compliments on it from time to time because as mentioned above it looks nice without trying to look flashy. The product details describe how the watch is charged by the sun and I could honestly say I havenât had to think about the battery since I bought it so it certainly has good longevity.

Nice watch for the money
I have only had the watch for a few weeks but it looks good is comfortable and nice to look at. I had an Eco-drive for 14 years before this one. A few weeks ago it started getting moisture in the face then stopped working. I never had to change the battery and worked good til then so I got another Eco-drive.

Update 8/28 – Pleased so far! Have gotten used to the size. Itâs now my everyday watch. Band seems to be holding up just fine.âââââââ-The watch face is a little bigger than I thought, and the band is LONG. I donât consider my wrist to be small. Hope the âtuck tabsâ last. I like the âmaterialâ of the band, and it shouldnât hold odor from sweat or water. Accurate so far and looks nice on. It is not light and seems to be of high quality and well made as youâd expect from Citizen on a watch such as this. Might be able to raise this to a 5 eventually – time will tell⦠Excited to have my first Eco-Drive!

Added this to my eco-drive collection. Didnât think this watch would be as stylish as it is when purchased but Iâm more than happy with the look. Compliments my Navihawks and Sailhawk as itâs a completely different look and feel.The band is light but not cheap feeling and the watch feels nice and sturdy.Great value for the price!

La foto no le hace mucha justicia, el reloj es realmente bonito, tiene mucha personalidad, lo puedes usar tranquilamente con mezclilla o con traje.El indicador del dÃa yo en lo personal si lo siento un poco pequeño a comparación de otros, y no trae el famoso cÃclope (la lupa) que amplia un poco el dÃa.No he tenido la oportunidad de probarlo en alguna alberca ya que indica que es un 10 bar, hice la infalible prueba que nunca falla de sumergirlo en una pileta 🙂 por aproximadamente media hora y no tuve ningún problema, sigue trabajando normalmente.En lo personal estoy muy contento con este reloj y no dudo en recomendarlo ampliamente.
