ARTISTIC SPIN on traditional dive watch
I love the original look. Artistic view of traditional dive watch. High quality . Great bracelet love the adjustment for putting over wet suit Or anything else.. Lume is Super. Orca inlaid on back. What a great collector’s watch.

Like the styling
At 46 mm this is a large watch but wears a bit smaller due to the streamlined case back with no sharp edges between the back and the sides of the case as well as the relatively small protrusion of the screw down crown. Good lume that was still visible after 7+ hours from charging it up fully, helped by the relatively wide hour and minute hands. The ratcheting adjustment dive buckle is excellent and allows for quick adjustment for swollen wrists with changes in weather or altitude as well as diving or other wet suit wearing sports. The rotating dive bezel is 60 clicks for a full rotation and is well aligned with no backlash or slop. The dial design with the large areas of luminous paint is quite distinctive and unique. On the other hand the narrow 14mm spring bar band attachment length and then the jump to 25mm band width makes finding a replacement band other than the Citizen factory versions difficult which is why I chose this metal bracelet version rather than the polyurethane strap versions.

This watch is big and beautiful if you like a large heavy watch like I do you will love this watch. Built like a tank the quality shines through I wear this watch everyday and was very happy with the shipping and delivery.

Very pleased with this watch. Iâve been an Eco-Drive user and fan for a long time and accumulated three others before this one. I wanted a hearty dive watch that I can wear everyday fishing, swimming, boating on the bay and ocean. The Orca is perfect for my needs. The face design and spherical mineral crystal gives this a very unique look. The screw down crown and fold over clasp makes it durable. The weight is substantial but not overwhelming. This was an excellent choice.

Itâs large but I like that. Kinda goofy looking. A unique fun watch to own. The adjustable latch is nice. Weighs like sixteen pounds. Works both as a timepiece and a blackjack.

Fantastic Bargain!
Was cruising Amazon for watches and found this Citizen for nearly 50% off so ordered it immediately. Received in two days and I’m more than happy with it. 46mm but wears much smaller, bracelet of good quality with on-the-fly size adjustment, and the design of the dial is fantastic. Oh, and did I mention it’s solar powered so no need for battery changes. Only negatives I see are no micro adjustments on the bracelet but there are half links so you should get a good fit and it’s a pin & collar system so if you’re not comfortable resizing it I’d take it to a jeweler. All in all a great watch at a great price!

excellent price, tested this out recently in mexico in the sun and water and no problems! was a little harder to charge in the winter, even under table lights. but full charge against a south facing window prior to leaving and of course in Mexico.

I always liked this design but unfortunately never got around to buying the original in titanium. Roll on 17 years and Citizen have reissued the watch in stainless steel. I believe Orca was a nickname given to it by the watch community and was never officially endorsed. It now appears that Citizen took this onboard for the re-release and included an engraved and enameled killer whale on the caseback which is a really nice touch. It’s a sizeable watch at 46mm but a short lug to lug of 48mm makes it much more wearable. It sits well on my 7.25 inch wrist and wears more like a 44mm. It’s very a high quality item with solid construction in stainless steel and weight is about 185 grams with 3 links removed. Bezel is 60 click with a smooth action and absolutely no play plus perfect alignment all round. The bracelet is excellent for a Japanese watch in this price range with a milled inner clasp and an on the fly adjuster which works very well. There are also 2 half links so you are guaranteed a good fit. Crystal is domed mineral with good clarity and nice vintage distortion. People get too hung up on sapphire these days and this is perfect for a dive watch as it will not shatter. Dial is perfectly executed with fantastic lume on the oversized markers and handset. Amazingly the second hand hits the markers almost dead on. The only drawback is that I had to import the full stainless version via Amazon EU from Italy and it appears that it doesn’t qualify for the usual 6 year warranty. At the price I paid and with known eco drive reliability I’m not too bothered. It also came in the older yellow dive bottle packaging and was devoid of documentation so not sure if it was a previous return. That said it’s in perfect order and it’s the first citizen I’ve owned with the dive bottle packaging so I’m happy with that. Highly recommended if you have the wrist size to pull it off.
