The newly reimagined Promaster Dive Automatic men’s watch by Citizen goes deeper into the history of the original version of this diving watch that was released in 1989 for the new generation of dive watch enthusiasts. A design element that stands out is the distinctive, serrated bezel design that was inspired by a “Fugu,” the Japanese name for pufferfish.

Your Citizen Watch comes with a five-year, limited coverage. When you register your watch online or through the My Citizen App, you will receive an additional coverage year free, for a total of six years coverage.
How do I set my watch?
If you know your model number, go to the brand website and search or browse for your model. When you’re on the product page, the setting instructions are listed at the bottom of the “features” section.
How do I get a manual for my watch?
Setting instructions can be accessed through our website and the My Citizen App (available for iOS and Android). To obtain the instructions specific to your watch, you will need to provide the Movement Caliber Number on your watch’s caseback.

Reliable and handsome
I like this watch a lot. I had a Seiko Orange Monster from 2005 which was also an automatic movement like this one. But the Seiko finally wore out. I had a fling with a Casio Pathfinder and an Apple Watch…both of which still work. But there is something cool about a watch that has no electricity. No batteries to replace, no overnight charging…they just work. My only complaint is that the day date is gray lettering on black and hard to read. If I had to buy it again, I’d probably get the version with a more legible day date. I do love the spinning bezel. It’s very retro but also a time tested way to measure elapsed time in a workout. It gains about 5 minutes a month, which is fine. I’d rather be early than late. The rubber neoprene band is also surprisingly comfortable. I’d planned on getting a nice aftermarket metal bracelet style band, or switching in my metal Seiko watchband. But this band is sweet. It has just the right amount of stretch. Pro tip: put a piece of clear thick packing tape over the glass. Trim it tightly to the round glass with a razor blade and magnifying glasses. No more scratched watch face. Good work Citizen!

Very Disappointed.
I’m hard on watches I will admit, I play in and on the water, I need my watch to work. Sadly this watch had a total mainspring failure at 10 months, the mainspring simply let go. I will say that Citizen Customer Service were very responsive, I shipped the watch to them at no cost to me. They replaced the whole movement and returned it promptly. One month later the watch started losing one minute every single day. It currently is back at the Citizen Repair Facility in California. I do have one of Citizen’s First Solar Watches that I bought new in the late 80’s and it’s still going strong, my Wife wears it every day. All my Diver’s watches have been Seiko but I was so impressed with my Citizen Solar That I thought I would give them a try. My old Seiko is back on my wrist. Very Disappointed in this Citizen Diver.

It did not come authenticity card.. I purchased a citizen from a different company and it came with card.. the watch band is of poor quality.. it did not illuminate.. the glass was Sapphire.. it was mostly glass.. I donât recommended this watch.. I immediately returned it.. i received it yesterday and it was returned today

Okay Watch
Have some three dozen watches and this falls in the middle irrespective of price. The band is a little cheesy but I like the functions and controls. Better than average. Rec’d as a gift from a business partner.
