My favorite watch
I can’t believe it took me so long to review this watch, I bought it over a year ago. I most likely didn’t because I wrote a review for the first Citizen Promaster Dive Eco-Drive Watch I bought–this is my second; the first one is silver-toned, this one is gold-toned.I have a collection of eco-driven watches, including a few solar-powered watches made by another company, however, they aren’t as reliable as my Citizen watches. All are a great value, especially considering these Eco-Drive watches don’t require the need to purchase a battery every year or few years.

BEST watch I have ever had
I havenât rated the water resistance because I havenât tried that yet, but I trust Citizen, I own several and never had an issue with them⦠onto the watch, I fell in love from the first timeâ¦. Beautiful watch and not heavy considering it has a 200m water resistance rating, easy to adjust and accurate, and the illumination is one of the best and strongest I have seen beforeâ¦. My only complaint is the band, it is a bit rugged and harsh, but itâs an easy fix for me, I will just get a soft silicone band and Iâm good to go.(Update):First, I actually got to try it in water, works as advertised ððSecond, it was extremely hard to find a band thatâs both comfortable and functional as well as color matching to this watch, itâs a mat gold so not easy to find something to match it.I finally was able to find this band which is a thick silicone material and advertised as waterproof so supposedly function similarly to the original one, the only issue was that the buckle was a standard silver color, so I just with the original buckle for a perfect match ðð.

I’ve had this watch for two months now. Has kept perfect time. Set it according to the time on my cellphone. Checked it today and second hand hit zero exactly as the minute went up on my cellphone. Has not lost or gained so much as one second!

Nice, But Have Reservations
I like the time piece, it keeps good time and looks nice. Setting the date using the manual instructions was an exercise in frustration, silly me thinking it would function like my other Citizen Eco-drive. The watch band was not designed for comfort on my wrist, even after wearing the watch every day for over a month. I will replace the band when I can find a suitable band.

It is a very nice watch – the bezel works very well and without play and the colour combination is awesome. I am very satisfied. The delivery by Amazon to Germany was completely problem-free. I highly recommend this watch.

This is a more unique looking version of the otherwise ubiquitous Citizen Promaster solar dive watch family (Eco-Drive). Some people would actually like that it’s really light, but I like heavy watches, so to me – this watch, while really beautiful, does feel a bit cheap in terms of heft – and I’m comparing it to the flawless Citizen Promaster diver automatic – which not only also looks gorgeous, but feels premium in its heft and quality. So if you’re ok with these minor issues (just it’s weight, or lack of it…) – this is a great watch, with crazy reliable solar movement, and a look that doesn’t make you feel like a million other people wearing a Citizen Promaster diver on your wrist.

The face of this Promaster is small compared with the BN0196-01L (45mm gold/navy) that is my favourite. And the date might as well be invisible. On the other hand, the coated crystal is very clear in any light and the lume is tremendous. On balance a very nice watch that wears a little smaller than the aforementioned navy model.Here is the odd part: I sent the first one back because Amazon shipped it with the battery depleted. Then the second one arrived depleted as well so I charged it with the crown out. I’ve received Eco-Drives from two other high volume sellers – both charged. Amazon really needs to get with the program.
