Hard to improve on this one at ant price!
I recently purchased a Citizen Men’s Eco-Drive Promaster Diver Watch with Date, BN0150-28E. This is the 3RD EcoDrive watch I have owned, the others being the first generation Diver, very similar to this one and a military styled field watch. With that said, both those models are daily wear including military and public safety use and are still going strong. Now…on to this beauty….I ordered one two weeks ago, got it two days later and sent the first one back. Why? No instruction booklet or warranty number on the watch tag. I ordered a second one, it two arrived in two days and again, same thing. I actually called Citizen and spoke to a person in Licensed Sales about this, suspecting maybe Amazon was not an authorized sales outlet. They explained they in an effort to reduce packaging (which is funny as this thing comes in a gargantuan box with a replica scuba tank inside) those aspects of the transaction are now online. My old watches had an instruction booklet and warranty number with the watch. I also learned that registering the watch ONLINE gives you one additional year of warranty so bumping it to 6 years. Now- on to the watch. It is a work of simplistic diving watch wrist art. Very old school, simple and elegant at the same time. You could envision James Bond wearing something like this very functional timepiece. I have big wrists and hands and watches are sometimes awkwardly sized for my wear. Not so with this watch, it is just right, not too big, not to small on my 9″ wrist. The lume on this watch is fantastic with the “0” on the outer adjustable bezel being a slightly different color to distinguish it. Each number pip has a discrete bright silver trim ring to further enhance low light veiwability. The minute hand is trimmed in a florescent orange to immediately bring the eye to it and for some nice style points that pays homage to its diving roots. The watch itself is no lightweight but at the same time it is not especially chunky either. The offset stem is super comfortable on the wrist ( I wear mine on the right hand ) The solar panel is a smooth, even surfaced flat black, unlike the earlier Eco-drives which had a bit of “grid” pattern to them. If there was one feature I would say I disliked, it would would be the band. It is a heavyweight, and frankly uncomfortable rubber band. It has a decompression chart printed on one side, that appears to be slightly inaccurate compared to my real diving tables. I was a public safety diver for 6 years and don’t see any diver actually using the table when computers are so much the standard these days. The factory band is long enough where it would likely fit over most wet suits without much problem. I’d not hesitate taking this watch on regular diving operations and have take the older version I have on many operations without issue. The first thing I did upon receipt was remove the factory rubber watchband and replace them with nylon 5 ring NATO style watchstrap. The orange strap shown in the pic, really makes this piece “pop” as does the khaki and olive versions I purchased. It utilizes a 20MM watchband. The other small annoyance is the teeny tiny calendar date window. Basically it is worthless, all I can say about that. One other suggestion is to purchase some glass crystal protectors for the watch face. My older model is scratched and chipped from real world use and the glass used on these are prone to damage. I got a pack of these off Amazon for under 10 bucks and they essentially function like a cell phone screen protector. Worth it. In summary, in a world where the wristwatch is falling by the wayside more and more, this rugged, adventure craving timepiece is both a statement and functional piece of EDC kit. It is a “must have” for anyone with an interest in true diving watches or those just desiring a stylish, simple and rugged adventure watch that you will find entering your watch rotation and crowding out lesser types.

Believe the Hype! Best Dive Watch for the Money
Honestly, given all reviews about how great this watch is I fully expected to be disappointed. But I was not. Believe the hype as this is one of the best all around watches ever. Why? Read on!Iâm thoroughly impressed with the Citizen Eco-Drive Menâs Dive Watch. This watch combines rugged durability with incredible technology, making it perfect for both diving enthusiasts and daily wear. The Japanese quartz movement is highly reliable, offering precise timekeeping that you can depend on in any situation. One standout feature is the Eco-Drive technology, which is powered by lightâany light! Once fully charged, the watch can run for up to 6 months without any exposure to light, so thereâs no need to worry about replacing batteries. This makes it an eco-friendly and hassle-free option for anyone on the go. Honestly, if thereâs no light to power my watch for 6 months, Iâve clearly got bigger problems than worrying about the time. The luminescent hands and markers are another highlight. The lume is bright and long-lasting, ensuring excellent visibility in low-light or underwater conditions. Iâve not tested it diving, except under the covers, but so far so good. Paired with the classic black dial and durable rubber strap, the design is both sleek and functional. For those who dive for real, this watch is indeed ISO-certified for diving, with a 200-meter water resistance, so itâs built to handle serious underwater adventures. If youâre looking for a dive watch that combines style, functionality, and eco-conscious technology, this Citizen Eco-Drive is an outstanding choice. Highly recommended!

Great Watch, Bargain Price
Just got this watch today, so this is an out-of-the-box review. The watch arrived in a large box that seemed capable of holding 4-6 watches. Inside was a plastic SCUBA tank replica with the watch concealed inside. I had to watch a You Tube video to figure out how to open it. (Hold the top and bottom and pull apart; a cubby will be revealed that holds the watch. All very impressive considering the very reasonable price I paid.Inside the box was a registration booklet but no manual. The watch arrived running out of the box, which makes me think it was a recent return. A careful inspection revealed zero imperfections, so I think someone was careful sending it back except for the missing manual. The time was 2 minutes off, and the date was set four days earlier. The watch case is larger than it looks. Next to my Casio Duro, it appears 2-3mm smaller, but I think that is because the black portion of the bezel extends out further on the Casio. Both watches measured about the same using a ruler and my eyeballs. (Not counting the crown, about 43mm each, give or take a mm.I canât speak to accuracy or durability due to my brief ownership, but the lume seems good, quality seems excellent and I can attest to the fact that the watch looks great with a NATO band. The band that the watch came with felt stiff and plasticky, but adequate. I am pleased with the watch and recommend it. At more than half off retail, it is not only a great watch, but an excellent buy.Update: Unidirectional bezel is 60 click not 120 for those who care about that. Keeps excellent time and zero issues swimming or showering. Love this watch.

Amazing ISO Certified dive watch. Nice brushed stainless steel, time is pretty accurate, and the solar charging capability means never having to worry about a battery …which is ESPECIALLY important for a dive watch. I never really paid much attention, but the Lume is actually quite good. You can actually tell the time, see the seconds hand, and the dimple on the bezel in the dark. Bezel feels and looks really nice. Seconds hand alignment is not perfect on mine, but lands o the 12 oclock position. Ordered a NATO strap to replace the rubber strap…which is not that terrible. Accuracy: was within +/- 1 Seconds after 1 week, so good enough for me…. it’s getting lots of wear time. Love it.

El reloj era lo q esperaba. El tamaño ideal y las calidades son buenas. No le doy cinco estrellas por q la correa m parece algo blanda y estrecha en la parte final

I bought this to replace my lost Citizen Eco-Drive Promaster 300M Diver’s Watch BN0000-04H. This watch is only 200m rated and, the fact is, Iâve never been any deeper than 3m in water with any of the watches I own; So yeah only a minor difference from my old one. This new model does however have features I do like better such as a bigger and easier to read dial and date, a larger & offset crown (making it comfortable on the wrist), and a better looking rubber strap. However, the old 300m one had details that I wished this one had – the older model had a mono block body (no screw-off case back), a beautifully embossed (almost carved) world logo on the back casing, a fully knurled rotating bezel and a gorgeous waffled textured black face for the dial. The back of this watch has only been laser etched with the eco drive logo. This watch really reminds me of my old Seiko divers from the 1980âs more so than my old Citizen 300mâ¦and thatâs altogether not a bad thing. Details aside, itâs a great watch and I think it wouldâve been greater had Citizen added a day & date on that front dial instead of just a date. If this model holds up to the standards of ruggedness and reliability of the old one I had lost, then I can rest assured Iâll have a great time piece for many years to comeâ¦provided of course I donât lose this one.

I have been eyeing this watch for a while, prime day came around and it was time to get it. It arrived and I put it on and thought, that is uncomfortable… Said to myself, wait and break in the band. Nope, wore it the whole day, it was either too loose and flopping or too tight and causing pain. That band is just wrong, Citizen, you need to do better! Amazon, you did fine!

I’m not going to write some detailed review as there are plenty of other sources for that info. What I will do is mention a few things that some Amazon shoppers may be interested in.First – I purchased this on April 15/2019 and received a serial number with an October 2018 manufactured date. That’s pretty good so you shouldn’t have any worries about old stock here.Second – Every thing out of the box was bang on. The minute/hour hands are on point and the second hand is hitting every mark. The bezel is also very solid. I have no wiggle on mine like some reviews state. I am extremely happy with the build of this watch.Third – While the lume is very bright and much better than most other watches I’ve seen it doesn’t last nearly as long as some people will have you believe. I have no idea how some people can claim it lasts into the middle of the night. It does not.Fourth – Mine came in a very nice small circular type storage box. Not the scuba tank like some reviews say. Not sure if that was an older packaging or if it’s limited to certain regions but you will not receive that here. Still though, the storage box it comes in is actually rather nice and small making it great for storage when not in use. This was actually a pleasant surprise for me as it’s not just some cheap ugly throw-away box. It looks very nice and could go on a dresser for display. That’s about it. This is a fantastic watch. Very accurate and looks fantastic. Love it.
