Beautiful, comfortable, but inaccurate
I wear this watch daily and overall I am immensely pleased with it for what it was meant to be; a fashion watch. Fossil is a fashion brand and even at their higher price points the watches are not passed through the same rigorous time-keeping quality assurances that other brand’s watches are.This watch is beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. The silver of the skeleton body contrast very strikingly with the blue of the outer edge, and the hour markers are easily visible. Equally comfortable, the watch face never bothers the back of my wrist even though I wear it the band very tight. The leather has has held up well and as it ages I will replace only as necessary.The primary issue, if you call it that, is the inaccuracy. As a fashion watch I didn’t expect it to keep perfect time and it certainly doesn’t. I wear it daily and never let it go unwound. The timepiece will be off by 2-3 minutes within a week or so of correction. I will usually notice when the error is great enough to be 5 minutes off and bring it back to roughly correct, but I don’t bother with high precision because I know it will not stay perfect accurate for any worthwhile length of time. I’m ok with this, but it is quite a far cry from their own estimates of + or – 1 minute per month.If you want a time piece that will stay accurate for longer look elsewhere. If you want a time piece that will look excellent, wear well, receive compliments, and give you a mostly accurate time warranting semi-frequent correction, look no further. I am satisfied with my purchase and will be wearing it for years to come.
