Above my expectations
Not my first pd watch I attached a picture of it on my 6.75 inch wrist. 40mm watch. Looks amazing. I didn’t buy this as a substitute to what it’s replicating, I bought it because it looks good. Dark side of the moon. It can be a little hard to read at times. Functioning chronograph,screw down crown,100m wr, Seiko movement, sapphire crystal and comfortable strap for under $100. Good deal.

Another very good watch from Pagani Design
This is my 3rd watch from Pagani Design and as with the first two, they have created a very good watch with a few minor flaws. My first watch was a PD-1644 Daytona homage. I have had that watch almost three years now and it still looks flawless and works perfectly. The 2nd watch was a PD-1701 V. 3 moon watch. I wanted this one to have a more dressy look and feel so I got it with a white face with black dials and ceramic black bezel. I then put a Ritche black leather band with white stitching on the watch and it is a visual stunner. I get so many compliments on that watch. I have seen Omega’s “dark side of the moon” moon watch at a Beverly Hills jeweler and fell in love with how that version of their iconic moon watch looked. There is no way I would ever spend that much money on a watch I would be afraid to wear though, so I thought that that particular version of the moon watch would just be something I would forever admire from afar. I was shocked and very pleasantly surprised to see that Pagani Design had decided to honor that version of the moon watch by making a next best thing when you cannot afford the real thing version to make the beauty of the watch accessible to every man or woman. Having seen the real thing in person, I have got to hand it to Pagani Design. They have done a great job of capturing the look and feel of the Omega. There are obvious differences but Pagani Design is not trying to fool anyone into thinking that their watch is an Omega. If they were, the watch would not have Pagani’s name and logo on its face. This watch does look and awful lot like the Omega dark side of the moon version though. If you know what you are looking for you can spot the differences though (besides the obvious name and logo difference). Omega uses it’s own in house fake crystal instead of mineral crystal lenses. I personally do not like the fake crystal lenses they use (it is the same material that many Seiko watches use as well), so I do like the look of the Pagani’s better when it comes to the crystal lenses. Omega also does not use ceramic bezels and the ceramic bezel on the Pagani’s really stands out and differentiates them from the Omega’s in the best way. The ceramic bezel gives the watch a classier look than the Omega. The Omega does have a more matte black finish while the Pagani’s finish has a glossy black look to it. The matte black finish of the Omega is the better look and finish for this watch. That isn’t saying that Pagani’s glossier finish is bad looking. It isn’t. The matte black finish just has a look to it that screams “I have been to the moon”. The glossier finish of the Pagani isn’t screaming. It is quietly muttering under it’s breath that it wished it had gone to the moon. Don’t get me wrong though, with all of the money you are saving by buying the Pagani over the Omega, you can finance your own mission to the moon (not quite but you get my drift) and everyone else that does not have an Omega or Pagani Design moon watch are still going to admire yours and wish they had one. Omega’s have automatic Swiss movement while all three of my Pagani Design watches have Seiko quartz movement. Obviously, Swiss movement is supposed to be better but I sort of question how automatic Swiss movement that loses at least 15 seconds a week is better than Japanese quartz movement that hasn’t even lost 15 seconds a year? The Seiko movement in these Pagani watches is scarily accurate. I have had my light face Pagani moon watch a little over 4 months now. I set it via the atomic clock when I first got it and I just set it ahead an hour for daylight savings time change. The watch had only lost 3 seconds since I first set it to the atomic clock over 4 months ago. It is supposed to be a prestige thing to say that you’re watch has Swiss movement but there is something to be said for time keeping that is scary accurate as well. The one thing that all 3 of my Pagani watches have in common is their lack of lume. Pagani keeps saying that the newer versions of their watches have improved lume and they are not lying. My Daytona homage Pagani has lume that lasts about 5 minutes once the watch is taken away from light. It actually looks strong for a whole 2 minutes and the remaining 3 minutes are like a fast race to the bottom. The lume disappears before your eyes. Both of my Pagani moon watches are newer versions and Pagani has made efforts to improve the lume of their watches. I have no idea how expensive lume is or how much more of a coat decent lume would add to the manufacturing costs, but I am beginning to think that lume that actually lasts a little while must be really expensive because the improved lume that Pagani is claiming they are using is not all that much of an improvement. Anything is better than the horribly anemic 5 minutes of lume that the older Pagani’s had so I probably shouldn’t complain but going from 5 minutes to somewhere around 15 minutes isn’t all that much of an improvement. The newer Pagani’s had some pretty strong looking lume for about 10 minutes after being removed from a light source. The next 5 minutes after that initial 10 minutes is another race to the bottom though. Hit that 15 minute mark and you would never know that the watch had any lume in the first place. I have come to accept that my Pagani watches do not have lume and future Pagani watches probably never will have any lume. That is what my cell phone screen that lights up is for though. As long as I have my cell phone and it still has a charge, I really do not care if any of my Pagani watches can tell me the time in the dark. What matters is just how damn sexy they look in the light.

Better Than You Expect
This watch is excellent. Many watches under $200 will skimp on the strap. This strap was perfect: soft, comfortable, possessing the feel of quality. The watch itself is light, easy to read, and isn’t too large (which is subjective). I liked everthing about it except the high-gloss finish, which differs from how it is depicted. I really wanted a matte finish and this deviates significantly from that. I bought Pagani again becuase of how mipressed I’ve been with their value.

Solid watch
Out the box this watch feels and looks much more expensive. Supplied strap is stiff but breaks in after a week or two. Overall I would recommend this watch to anyone. The yellow and black is the most readable of the other color ways.
