Very Nice Comfortable Sized Longines HydroConquest
I am not going to compare this to other brands as I don’t really see that as a part of a review. I will review this watch as “I actually own it”. First, it is very comfortable. I am not a big fan of large faced watches. Its hard to find well built modern watches that aren’t gigantic 44-46 mm. This 39mm cases watch is near perfect when it comes to watch face vs arm size. I have a 7 1/4″ wrist and find this watch as a near perfect seize. It weighs 163grams with two links removed. Link removal was very easy and it adjusted for a perfect fit. The bracelet is a nice two tone brushed and polished solid link. Very study and conforms well to my wrist. It has a modified L888 automatic movement based on the ETA2892 with a very nice 64/65 hour power reserve with abit lower 25,200 bph movement. Very accurate movement as I have been timing it and it has lost 2-3 seconds a day. The blue dial is stunning and I like it alot better then the black dial version of this make. Overall I am very pleased with the fit, comfort & quality.

Defective watch
This Longines watch just stop two hours after I went to bed. It was said to have 60+ hours power reserve. That is a failure…

Overpriced – It’s just OK
I gave it 3 stars but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad watch. I just think it’s overpriced for $900-1000; It seems more like a $500 watch. The fit and finish is just okay. Actually it reminds me of the Seiko Prospex watches which typically ranges from $300-600 and up. The dial and bezel look too “busy” and cluttered to look elegant. Especially bad is the design of the bracelet, which doesn’t look like it tapers at all – it looks too wide and clumsy. I do like that it doesn’t appear too thick and the lugs are curved. However, even if it were $200 I would pass on it and put the $$ towards something else. A blue, 40mm and under diver that you can immediately tell is high quality and is very well designed is the Oris Aquis 39.5mm, but currently it’s priced between $1600-2000.
