There is a lot to love about this watch. First, I love the tactical design, some other tactical type watches end up being way too busy with all the number, the dial, etc. but Luminox seems to have found a wining balance. It's sleek but eye catching as well. I love the glow in the dark feature, it's very cool looking and adds to the aesthetic of the tactical/dive design. It's also very light, which I think it key for these kinds of watches. Generally speaking a light watch is viewed as a negative within the watch collector community but I'd say those are reserved for metal watches. The weight is very welcome when it comes to this watch design and comfort level. I also thought I was going to hate the silicone band, but it is extremely good quality. From all of my tests, it seems to keep time very well and is very functional.
The biggest reason for goin with 4 stars over 5 was the initial presentation of the watch. The case it came in was pretty underwhelming for such a high dollar watch and it definitely didn't wow me in a way watches of much lesser value do. It also was running when it arrived, which is bothersome because such a high dollar piece should come with a stopper on the dial to ensure maximum battery life. Again, small gripes but when you get to this price range, there are different expectations. Overall I would add another Luminox watch to my growing collection, no questions asked.
