I'm going to start off by telling you the things I don't like about this watch and you are going to think that I hate it, but I actually don't. More on that later. First of all this watch is very big and heavy, 47mm case size, 55mm lug to lug, 24mm band that tapers to 22mm and slightly over 12mm thick. This all translate to a big heavy watch that people with small to average size wrists might find too large and/or uncomfortable. I'm a big guy with big wrists so it is not a problem for me, the watch is bigger and heavier than I normally like to wear but for me I don't find it uncomfortable or obnoxiously big, just be aware that it might not fit you well if you have small to average sized wrists. Second issue is the band, I don't think the brown leather with the green canvas completely works with the black case, and since the lugs are not standard it will be very difficult finding a replacement band that will fit it. I'll probably have to find a standard 24mm leather band and cut a notch in the top to make it fit. Third issue, the watch has lume on the hands and indices, but it is very dim and short lived, even after having it out in the sun or charging the lume with a UV light.
Now for the good… Obviously, the skeletonized watch face and movement are the stars of the show, and they do look really nice! It is very interesting watching the balance wheel and escapement doing their things to keep the watch regulated. The watch face is also very legible, which is a problem for a lot of skeleton watches, but the white indices and white tips on the hands contrast well against the mechanical background, and combined with the white on black minute track on the rehaut makes this watch very easy to read. Winding is smooth and the hands do not jump when the crown is pushed back in after setting the watch, I have had this problem in the past with other inexpensive Chinese movements, but this one seems very solid and easy to set accurately. The seconds hand hacks, meaning it stops when the crown is pulled out to the time setting position, this mean you can synch this watch with another time source, like your phone. I have measured the accuracy of the movement in mine to +12 seconds per day, which is perfectly acceptable for a movement in this price range.
Overall, for the price, the quality is very good and I am pleased with this watch. I think if they just made the case a little smaller, redesign the lugs for a standard watch band and improved the lume this watch would be fantastic! But as is it is a solid good looking watch and a good value for the price.
