I recently purchased a small vintage-looking, tank-style watch. Being so small lug-to-lug (1 ¼inch), a standard strap is only just able to fit my 7 ¼ inch wrist. I wanted a longer strap but was not sure how much longer. I made an estimate and the only 20mm strap I found on Amazon with a longer length option, near my estimate, was this âMoran Quick Release Leather Watch Band 18mm 19mm 20mm 21mm 22mm 23mm 24mm Replacement Calfskin Strap for Men Womenâ.At only $14, it was a low price, worth paying to test out the length, prior to maybe ordering a much more expensive, custom leather strap..The strap arrived in a simple but not cheap looking, card box, oddly stating âEnvironmental Protection Materialâ, with a plastic insert inside, holding a small spring bar removal tool, two spare 20mm spring bars, a small cleaning cloth, and the strap itself..The strap is quite thin once beyond the usual internal padding at the spring bar end. The overall appearance is very good. The stitching and buckle are not bad at all, though the black outer surface is ultra shiny. The strap is very flexible, but for that 5mm near the watch, due to the fold for the spring bar loop and the adjacent padding. This is a quick-release strap, making strap fitment super easy..I canât tell if this is truly leather. It doesnât smell of leather but it did seem to absorb conditioner. Maybe the underside is leather and the shiny upper, PU Leather. The keepers are incredibly thin with a regular striation pattern on the inside. These are most definitely plastic.The strap does work and, with some working back and forth of the strap near the watch, it breaks in and loosens up fairly quickly. The XXL length has been proven to fit my wrist Okay, if a touch longer than needed. Iâm on the second to last hole. I do like my straps tight on my wrist though..I will probably just use this strap as it works for me. It’s not bad.
