The band is nice but getting an extra link is very difficult. The phone number on the manufacturer website doesn’t work. If you go to the manufacturer website and request a link they say they only consider watches bought on their website. Nice watch. Keeps good time. Website support very poor.

I’ve already reviewed another one and now along comes this one that is different in many ways. First of all, the face is of a very elegant blue configuration and has already drawn many favorable comments from others whenever I wear it in public – – such as in restaurants, bars, retail check-out lines or nightclubs. If you’re someone who’s trying to make a splash-like impression when out on a date or for whatever circumstance when surrounded by other people, then this watch might just be the one for you. It’s snazzy, gadget-looking makeup seems to draw attention wherever I go.As for the actual practical functionality of this item, that’ll take a bit more testing-time in order to verify all the listed features as indicated on this Amazon seller’s impressive marketing webpage. Some of them that I can already verify from a relatively short-term usage of this “time-telling” product are as follows:1) As an experienced Olavs customer, this unit is on the upper-level price spectrum in relation to the majority of their lower-end wristwatch merchandise. Price is definitely an issue with these these types of products since the heftier the price, the more one should expect from them durability and performance-wise.2) So far, I’ve determined that this Olevs AUTOMATIC (as opposed to their more economical quart/battery operated units) watch seems to keep good time, which in my sporadic usage, suits me fine. What I mean is that an automatic watch movement requires almost daily usage as it relies on everyday typical physical arm movement in order for the “power-spring-like” mechanism to be able to make the watch function. Since I admittedly don’t use it every day, I do have to “suffer” the inconvenience of resetting the time each time I put it on – – but in actuality this at least obviates the need to inevitably have to reset the time on a quartz/battery electronic unit, as it inevitably would require such since battery condition normally dictates current, correct actual time-settings. Such is the case with some of my other Olavs quartz-driven timepieces. This is probably why the “automated” time-keeping movements are found on the more expensive versions as many prefer them for the convenience of not having to periodically replace the sometimes difficult-to-find, costly batteries.3) This watch is minimally “waterproof” – – which means don’t take a bath or swim with it. It probably can overcome raindrops or wetness from washing the dishes.4) This item is partially “skeletal” in that a fractional portion window in the watch-face reveals the watch’s inner flywheel workings. Just a cosmetic-like, attention-gathering gimmick to stimulate sales appeal.5) The dial face also includes two, easy-to-read “meter-like” dials that depict day and date respectively via “pointer” hands.6) It comes with a nice, elegant gold and silver-colored stainless steel watchband that’s adjustable – – which brings me to a common complaint by many of this vendor’s watch products. It comes with a weak, inept supposed link-pin remover tool that is so feeble (like so many other Amazon users have lamented), it collapses and breaks when applying the necessary pressure to remove a link pin. Amazon offers a quick solution in that a copious amount of watch repair kits are marketed therein for reasonable pricing. I bought one right away for a moderate $19 price-point at that time and it’s given me an excellent service usage return, such as battery replacement access for my other Olevs Quartz-movement watches and the aforementioned link-pin removal option tool that works “like-a-charm.” If you’re a multiple watch owner such as I, I strongly recommend you access Amazon’s myriad collection of these “can’t-do-without” repair/maintenance kits that will save you much bother and cost savings when basic maintenance repairs are required.This is a very “flashy,” impressive-looking timekeeping device. Since extended usage “time” is the most telling review-factor for such a complex item, I pledge to return at a later date whenever something of consequence – – either good or bad – – occurs during what I hope will be a long and pleasant user experience. Therefore, for now at least, I’m giving the seller the “benefit-of-the-doubt” at this initial review stage and awarding a 4 stars review (while withholding 1 star for certain flaws that I suspect might arise with such a sophisticated-like time-keeping device that’s sold for a relatively high price-point). After all, I can always come back in and edit/update this review to either elevate it to a top stars rating, or on the flip-side, a lesser one.
