Rolex who?
I adore this $30 faulex. Size is comprable to Rolex’s submariner and it’s available in the signature green. I got the blue face with black band and love its steampunk look. This is an exceptionally pretty and affordable timepiece.

No doubt one of the cheapest alternatives of obtaining a moonphase watch
For todayâs review, I am reviewing the OLEVS OUW-S-G2856GB-BL Stainless Steel Chronograph Quartz Watch. A watch that was released on October 30, 2024.I am a watch guy but while I tend to go for more higher end watches, I like to try different watches at different price points and watches made in different countries.OLEVS is a Hong Kong brand that Iâm not so familiar with but I do know that they signed Indonesian martial arts celebrity Iko Uwais (âThe Raidâ) to promote their brand. The brand has been around since 1999 and has branches in several countries and has registered trademarks in more than 40 countries. So, what does this watch offer and what are my initial thoughts.First, it comes with a tool, so you can adjust to your wrist size. Typically from certain Asian watches they are 2-3 segments that I have to remove to fit my wrist (I have a bigger wrist) and so I need to adjust, but this one, it fit perfectly. One thing to know about this watch as well as itâs a Sun & Moon chronograph watch, which is pretty cool! This watch features 24H moon phase and the left chronograph displays minutes, while the bottom decorative portion is for seconds. I wished the bottom portion actually showed the gears instead of an illustration, but then again, itâs a $30 range watch. Canât really complain.Pull out the crown to rotate clock hands to set the time, top button is start/stop timing and the bottom button is for resetting the time. The watch is 30M (100 feet) water resistant but my feeling as a watch collector and owner is one should never wear a wristwatch underwater or showering. Especially for a cheaper watch which probably may end up in fogging. The watch is luminous but I had to use my UV flash light to charge the luminosity. Now the OLEVS 2856 is a watch that features a Quartz Movement (requires batteries). While I am a mechanical watch person, for the price that these watches sell for, in this case, the $30 range, you expect these watches to be Quartz. And it features a 42mm case diameter, so itâs not so huge and not so small. Now my thoughts on this watch. Itâs a beautiful watch no doubt. I think many men would receive compliments of this watch because of its luxurious look. Itâs no doubt a watch that can complimentâs one fashion.Granted, itâs not going to impress any watch erudite but most watch erudites look to more expensive watches. This is probably one of the coolest $30 range watches you can buy in terms of look and feel. With that being said, it is a Quartz watch and how long the battery will last, you may get a year. So, if you notice the time being off, you may want to get a screwdriver (flathead) and prop up the back cover (there are no notches on the rear of the watch, so a smaller flathead will do) or visit your local repair shop.Last but not least, you may be wondering if itâs worth purchasing this OLEVS OUW-S-G2856GB-BL Stainless Steel Chronograph Quartz Watch? If you like the look, then go for it. If you donât mind Quartz movements, go for it. Itâs no doubt one of the cheaper alternatives to obtain a moonphase (sun and moon) watch and you can get it in a variety of colors that suits your taste and itâs in the $30 range, so youâre not going to put a dent in your wallet.Donât expect anything huge, itâs a $30 range watch overall! While I canât tell you if it will last five years or ten years, I will say that for the last few days I have worn it, time has been good on its original battery so far. And whether or not you get what you pay for, who knows how long this watch will truly last? But like any watch, you take care of it, they can last you a long time. So, for its price range in the $30s, I definitely give the OLEVS OUW-S-G2856GB-BL Stainless Steel Chronograph Quartz Watch a thumbs up.

Looks High-End, Feels Affordable
I was honestly surprised by the quality of this watch for the price. The stainless steel band has a nice weight to it, and the blue dial gives it a luxury feel without the luxury price tag. The chronograph function works well, and it keeps accurate time. My only complaint is the clasp feels a little cheap, but for this price, itâs hard to beat. Definitely a solid buy if you want a stylish watch on a budget.

Good looking watch, instructions lacking.
I bought this watch to use on dressy occasions. It looks good and seems to keep time reasonably well. I encountered a problem with initial setup – although the instructions appeared to cover several different models, my watch isn’t among those models. I would have liked to have a description of the various features and instructions on how to set them up, but no such luck. Tried to look the watch up on Amazon, hoping to find my model along with correct instructions; I was unsuccessful. Finally, I just used the stem to set the time and gave up on the other features. It’s pretty, tells time and I wore it for a dressy occasion. Still hoping to eventually find correct instructions.

Keeps good time; cheap, tinny bracelet; nice bling for a younger guy
This is an approx 42mm chronograph quartz watch. Chronograph means it has a stopwatch function. Because it is quartz you donât have to wind it every day – and quartz watches generally keep very good time.Lug-to-lug is about 50mm – so it does wear like a larger watch. Itâs not light at 129 g but it doesn’t seem heavy – maybe b/c the band seems tinny, light and not impressive. It keeps good time. In the 12 days or so that Iâve had it itâs only run fast a minute or so which is not bad.The stop watch functions are okay – itâs hard to see because they are dark on a dark dial. The pushers are plasticky and donât give very responsive feedback. It does reset quickly. The dial is pretty nice with gold Roman numerals. The dial also has a large âcrownâ icon at the 12 indices – kind of an ersatz Rolex homage. There is some slight lume in a dark room.As mentioned, the bracelet seems very inexpensive – which is not surprising for a $40 watch. The band is very long so youâll almost assuredly have to take out a few links. They provide a very cheap tool to take out a link – but the pin popper broke with very little force. Luckily I have several kits to add/remove links. I was thinking of removing the bracelet and replacing it with a strap, but it appears to have an âintegrated braceletâ which means you canât replace it. I will have to examine the watch more closely to see if there is a way to change it out. This is certainly not a classic timepiece or a luxury watch – not even close. But, if all youâre looking for is an inexpensive watch that appears to keep okay time – and you want a watch with a relatively large dial and a little bling – and you donât want to worry whether you scratch it or not – this just might be the watch for you. I think it would be an excellent birthday or Xmas gift for a young man who has never worn watches before – his peers will be jealous of the bling.
