100% perfect
I am amazed by the quality and aesthetics of this piece. From the beautiful domed sapphire crystal, to the classic style hands and markers, to the beautiful two-tone faded dial, this thing is beautiful all the way around. The size is perfect and the domed crystal does a nice job of giving the dial a magnified appearance. The band is top notch and the alligator pattern was a plus for something in this price range. I would have rather had the brown band, and accidentally ordered with black, but still looks really good with the gold and dark outer edge of the dial. From a functionality perspective, it keeps decent time, but I’ve caught it being a little fast by a few seconds a day. This isn’t really a big deal for me and something I’ve gotten used to with automatic/mechanical watches. I just pull the crown, count to whatever I need, push the crown back in and you’re good for another day. The comfort is outstanding and I can wear it for hours without even noticing it’s there (other than constantly catching my eye of course).I have a number of nice watches and this is one of my favorites. Absolutely nothing negative to say about it. I wish I had a large clock size version to put on my wall!

Works great, gets compliments.
I have had my Orient Bambino Version 4 Blue watch for a few years now. I mostly wear it weekends, my job is too hard on watches to wear anything but cheap LCDs. It keeps time within a few seconds (<5 seconds) every 24 hours. It gets compliments. The blue looks great in sunlight. I can hear the weight on the autowinding moving in very quiet places, but it isn't really noticable. Nice "Swiss" style automatic from Japan.

Great Watch (Average Person’s Perspective)
This is a pretty great watch. Admittedly, I’m not a watch enthusiast at all, but I was browsing around for a while, looking for a reputable brand that provided something both classy and rugged-looking. This Orient Bambino IV looked like my style (a little class, a little earthiness) and it was getting good reviews. After having worn it regularly for the past month or so now, I gotta say I’m very satisfied with the watch itself. As you can see in the attached pictures, the shine hasn’t lost its luster, the leather band appears to be holding up quite well, and it checks off my style boxes.More importantly, after comparing its accuracy by checking daily with my phone’s global clock, this watch seems to tick faster by about 30 seconds or so after a day. Not a big deal if you don’t mind winding it every week. This being an automatic watch, i.e., it charges itself, no battery needed, with your own wrist’s natural movements, I can’t complain about needing to rewind weekly.Additionally, I should also note that I typically don’t wear the watch on weekends, and have noticed it stops ticking after about 2 days without use/wear.Another note to add is that my foolish hand has a tendency to frequently bump into things right where the watch face is located and, I’m VERY happy to relay, the glass is strong, thick, and durable enough to not have obtained any scratches (yet).Overall, for the value, reliability, style, and accuracy, I’d say this is a pretty great watch to either start with or add to your current collection of time pieces. It earns my recommendation.

Good Value / Entry Level Auto Dress Watch
This is a pretty good entry level dress watch that gets you a Japanese autonstic movement with hand winding and hacking. I believe Orientâs movements are all âIn Houseâ (for what thatâs worth). The movement on my watch was very accurate. I tested it on the Toolwatch app and it came in at 2 seconds fast per day.The hand winding works fine, but it âfeelsâ a bit jenky compared to higher end models. But thatâs okay, because this is a very inexpensive watch.I like the greyed dial and a sort of copper / rose indices that look nice. No lumination so it is difficult to impossible to read at night, but thatâs expected from most dress watches. The band that comes with this model is a tan suede. Itâs a bit stiff and uncomfortable, but thatâs okay. Cutting corners on the strap makes sense to keep the price low. For $15-$20, you can get a very soft leather strap. Certain styles of NATO straps could possibly work here too.Overall, if your new to mechanical watches and your looking for a âDressâ watch, then any of the versions / styles of the Orient Bambino is a good place to start.
