There are only two reasons for buying a mechanical or automatic watch. Keeping the best time possible is not one of them. But that is of little importance in a world of smartphones and digital everything. That said, this watch keeps great time, losing only about 10 seconds a day. Both reasons for owning a watch like this concerns status. One is via its name, with Rolex serving as a prime example. Starting around $5,000, their plain appearance is offset by their name. On the other end of the spectrum is a watch like this—a no name brand that makes a time piece at a fraction of the cost that is simply gorgeous. By that standard, this one is absolutely first rate, and I love owning it.
