Very nice homage of the Rolex Explorer
I just received the Pagani Design automatic GMT. I have a Rolex Explorer but don’t wear it routinely but like its simplicity and functionality. So I can compare my impressions with the “real McCoy”. My review is an initial impression as I have not had it long enough to test its accuracy and reliability. However, I am very impressed with the quality of the case and bracelet which are made of solid stainless steel. The 24-hour bezel markers are engraved, not painted. The hour markers on the dial are easy to read against a white background. The crystal is sapphire, not mineral. The date is easy to read as it is large and the “cyclops” magnifier also makes it easy to read for those who wear reading glasses. A reason I bought this watch is because it has a Japanese Seiko automatic movement which should prove accurate and reliable; it’s worth the added cost. I have an average size wrist. The bracelet is made for a large wrist but PD includes a mini screwdriver to remove links which are easy and simple to unlink and rejoin. (Wish all metal bracelets were made this way.) It is a very handsome watch which should wear well for a long time with reasonable use and care. (I take good care of my watches and don’t abuse them.) Based on my initial impressions, I highly recommend this watch. I may later do a follow up update, if needed. However, I believe I will be pleased with its long term use.

Watch is goodâ¦band is garbage
The head of the watch is fineâ¦mine is +36 per day on my timegrapher( within specs for this movement).The problem is the screws on the bandâ¦..they are unremovable and strip out when you attempt removalâ¦even with quality screwdrivers. I ended up tossing the band in the trash and put it on a NATO.The lume is pretty goodâ¦for a Pagani.The cyclops is a tiny bit offâ¦but I can live with itâ¦fraction of a milimeter.Just be prepared to scrap the bandâ¦.its junk.

Nice homage with just a few minor issues
I’ve always liked the r***x Explorer 2, and purchased this clearly intentional “homage” to see how it looked and felt on my wrist without spending the $15,000 and waiting 18 months to buy the real deal. This is a nicely executed design- dial is crisp, lume looks good and lasts a long time, movement works well, all functions work correctly including jumping GMT hour hand, keeps good time, looks and feels really nice. Minus one star for a couple of minor details, all surrounding the bracelet. Clasp has a couple of sharp edges that should have been machined better. A couple of the link screws aren’t machined correctly, making it tough to get a screwdriver on them to change the bracelet size. And the clasp, which has a springboard to make micro-adjustments, doesn’t have the holes milled correctly to move the springbar to any of the positions other than the factory-set, largest position. I have a set of watchmaker tools so I was able to get around all these issues and get the bracelet sized correctly to my wrist, but that was more of a hassle than it should have been. Overall, though, a really nice purchase on a Black Friday sale for just over $100.

phenomenal homage watch
Having purchased 2 other watches from the same maker) I was pretty confident that this watch would be nothing short of amazing. The water arrived promptly and on and boxing was carefully packaged. I was immediately impressed by the workman ship and the quality of the time piece. Having the Japanese watch movement is the icing on the cake. I believe I got the second version of this watch which is significantly and much improved. My only other observation is that I would have preferred the class of the first version however this is still a phenomenal head turning watch. I am looking for 2 years of use and service from this excellent time piece at the end amazingly affordable price. Also I was able to shorten the length myself because they had pins were screwed downs. So sizing also to my wrist was done very fast. I think since the makers have decided to switch movement to Japanese movements that is the thing that does not mean to her these watches

Beautiful watch
Beautiful watch but it dies after being taken off within a couple daysâ¦I worn it for 10 hours and set the date and time then left it in my watch box only to discover after two days later the date showed it was behind one day and the watch wasnât working.This is my first self winding watch and Iâm sticking with battery powered watches because they donât require you to constantly wear them to keep them running.Iâd recommend this watch for the look however as for the movement itâs not very good if it doesnât stay on after a couple days off my wrist.I thought this was supposed to remain working longer than it is currently workingâ¦

Montre bien finie qui fonctionne très bien sans écarts. Malheureusement le fermoir n’est pas bien fini. La boucle de sécurité fermée ne s’aligne pas sur le fermoir. Problème de contrôle qualité. Pourtant Pagani possède maintenant des fermoirs de meilleur qualité sur certains modèles.

Eigentlich schreibe ich nur selten detaillierte Rezensionen aber diese tolle Uhr hat es verdient!Habe vor einigen Jahren schon einmal eine Pagani Design Uhr gekauft, da ich eine Alltagsuhr gesucht hatte, die auch mal den einen oder anderen Kratzer ab kann. Damals war ich nicht überzeugt und die Uhr ist auch nach knapp 3 Monaten kaputt gegangen.Diese Uhr hingegen ist fantastisch! Alleine die Gehäusequalität und die Verarbeitung kommt sehr nahe an die der teilweise deutlich teureren Uhren (Tag Heuer, Citizen, Certina) in meiner Sammlung ran. Auch das Finish und die SchlieÃe sind auf einem sehr hohen Niveau. Das Uhrwerk, NH34A, ist robust und kenne ich bereits aus anderen Uhren. Da hat Pagani Design definitiv auf ein gutes Pferd gesetzt.Aktuell geht die Uhr sehr präziese! Tagesabweichung bei täglichem Tragen sind nur ca. -3 Sekunden!Noch kurz zu den kleinen Mängeln, die diese Uhr natürlich auch hat;Wie bei den meisten fernöstlichen Fabrikaten gibt es wahrscheinlich keine Qualitätsendkontrolle. Sonst würden kleine Schönheitsfehler auffallen: Auf meiner Lünette ist zum Beispiel der 24h Index an zwei Positionen nicht sauber gefräst und sie hatte deutliche Bearbeitungsspuren wie Ãl, Kratzer und Co.. Lies sich aber fast alles rauspolieren. Ich hatte bei einer Uhr dieser Preisklasse aber Schlimmeres erwartet.Ein anderes Thema sind auch die verhältnismäÃig scharfen Kanten. Das Gehäuse ist soweit okay, aber besonders die SchlieÃe hat messerscharfe Ecken. (Kann man aber mit etwas handwerklichem Geschick und einem feinen Schleifpad ebenfalls einfach lösen.)Kurz noch zwei Infos, die fast immer gefragt werden:- Ja, mein Exemplar ist wasserdicht! Händewaschen und Duschen sind kein Problem. Schwimmen würde ich damit aber nicht gehen, da sie keine Gummi-O-Ringe verbaut hat. Notfalls ist in der Krone noch genug Platz um einen einzusetzen und das Gehäuse hat in der Deckelverschraubung ebenfalls Platz für einen.-Das Lume (Eigenleuchtkraft) bei Dunkelheit sieht phänomenal aus und hält auch verhältnismäÃig lange. Wenn es richtig aufgeladen ist, erkennt man alles noch sehr deutlich nach ca. 2 Stunden.- Zur PassgröÃe: Ich trage normalerweise Uhren zwischen 40 und 42m Durchmesser. Diese fügt sich perfekt in diese Dimension ein. Optisch, auch unter Betracht des echt flachen Gehäuses, liegt sie zwischen einer 41er und 42er.Man kann die Uhr also bedenkenlos empfehlen. Und mal ehrlich – die Alternative dazu (Rolex Explorer II) ist allein schon preislich gesehen keine Option, wenn man diese Uhr in live gesehen hat.
