2yr warranty vs 5yr warranty
You really need to get this watch at the lowest possible price. It’s a 5yr warranty on the watch but only 2yr on the battery. It doesn’t last much beyond 2 yrs & far less if you ever use backlight. To ship it round trip to ripcurl it’s $30 plus $40 to put in new battery. So there’s $70 on an $85 watch. Most any Jeweler can replace the battery cheaply buy for whatever reason it “will not” be waterproof any longer so then its garbage. For $15 & a new watch that’s an easy decision, but alota places sell it for $155. If you gotta pay that then you’ve got a different decision to make.

Great watch for surfing/ sailing. Simple and easyto control. Battery usually lasts a little less than 2 years.

Battery fail after 1 month
As a new watch, it was disappointing the battery stopped working and had to be replaced after one month. To have replacement by the recommended Rip Curl authorized dealer, it had to be mailed off. Expensive to do this after buying a pricey watch to begin with. Perhaps we bought a model that was outdated and came with original battery from 2 years ago?

Came wrapped in cardboard with no instructions or holder.
When it arrived at my house is was partly damaged and in one of my other orders box. It is supposed to come with a manual and a case

Bought this and the set time is 5 minutes off I can change the minutes cause it’s set with the tides

We couldnât set the time- no instructions with it – so googled instructions but still couldnât get it to work. Meant to be Xmas present for my husband!
