Outstanding Quality
This Seiko 5 divers watch is both attractive and purpose built. The watch is exactly as depicted. This is a very attractive dive watch. The face is vibrant, the hands ease to read, the lume is bright and the band is very sturdy. The rotating ring has the correct amount of resistance, it moves easily but isn’t going to move due to just wearing the watch. I especially like the ease of opening and securing the clasp. I was able to resize the band with simple tools and the addition of arrows on the inside of the band was an excellent assist on getting the pins in correctly. The watch has kept time accurately and it has been easy to maintain the automatic spring wound with daily use. I have been happy with all of my Seiko watches and this one lives up to my expectations of quality and craftsmanship. I highly recommend this Seiko watch.

Incredible value
Beautiful Automatic bronze finish divers watch. Best of both worlds, it’s all stainless steel with a bronze finish with patina. It’s not going to get green and smelly like real bronze. Has the reputable Japanese 4R36 movement which is tough as nails. Not as accurate as others but at this price, who could complain! Charge up the face with a quick blast from a flash light and it shines bright for many hours unlike cheap-o watches. This is SUPER comfortable for all day wear unlike some of my expensive Swiss Automatics. I love the sculpting and sweeping contours of the case guarding the crown, had to include that in the photos. The indices and hands are easy to see (even for my old eyes) day or night. Can’t say how pleased I am with this purchase! I don’t have to worry about getting a few scratches here and there (unlike my pro pilot x) it will only add to its character.Edit; had this watch on 24/7 since I received it. Some complain about accuracy, it picks up and loses time but averages out. So far, it’s roughly two minutes behind over the course of a month. If precise accuracy is a must, I would suggest a quartz watch or the Citizen PCAT atomic watch. If you desire a reliable well made mechanical watch, the Seiko 5 series is tough to beat! The lume is MAGNIFICENT!!!!

A nice watch that looks smaller than the picture in Amazon.
Even though the watch looks smaller than it’s picture on Amazon. I kept the watch. I like the novelty of the orange dial. I’m not a fan of metal bracelets so I replaced the bracelet with an orange synthetic band and it is quite a striking watch.

Worn it daily for the last 3 months. After the initial wind I think it does self wind fine. But I do hand wind every morning to be safe and this does not bother me. Accuracy is about +5 secs a day for me which is fine for an automatic at this price point. Was on the fence about the orange but itâs quite a lovely cream orange in person. Lume is wonderful and lasts all night. Bezel is easy to use and has a good feel to it. I use it all the time to time myself in tasks. The automatic function is something beautiful to me since I get to hear a heartbeat if I put my ear close to it and see the escapement in the back going back and forth. Something about humans getting time this accurate with just gears and wheels fascinates me. Iâve used it doing chores and housework and knocked it gently on things with no problems. I wouldnât go places a g shock would with this though. Taken it in the shower a bunch too with no problems. For the price I love the look and functionality of these Seikos.

Underwhelming manufacturing quality
I got the watch on a whim to use it as an everyday watch. I liked the design, and I was not expecting outstanding built quality at the price point (about $200). Nevertheless, I did not expect it to be this bad. The first 3-4 days worked relatively well, gaining about 10 seconds per day, which is well within the advertised range. Then it went awry and started gaining about 5 seconds per minute. For the price, I have no reason to try to service it. It is possible I received a lemon, but even with Seiko, known for quality products at reasonable prices, you get what you pay for.

Ich habe die Uhr für mich selbst gekauft, um eine günstige, unauffällige und zuverlässige Alltags- und Freizeituhr zu haben.Ich habe mich für das âAvocadoâ Modell mit grünem Zifferblatt und dem Grünen NATO-Band entschieden.+ Die Uhr trägt sich sehr angenehm+ Super übersichtlich und leicht ablesbar+ Für mittlere bis Grosse Handgelenke nach meiner Bewertung optimal+ unauffälliger zuverlässiger Begleiter.+ der orangene Sekundenzeiger ist ein toller Akzent und passt gut zur gesamten Optik, ich sehe mir die Uhr gern an+ Wasserdichtigkeit kann ich insofern bestätigen, dass ich die Uhr spaÃeshalber schon mal zum Tauchen dabei hatte und kein Wasser eindrang. Auch wenn es keine Taucheruhr per Definition ist, ist sie definitiv wasserdicht genug für alles was einem so im Alltag begegnet.+ die Krone lässt sich gut bedienen+ die Lünette ist sauber gefertigt und dass Klickgeräusch ist sehr angenehm+ Sichtboden gibt den Blick auf das âHerzâ der Uhr frei. Auch wenn es kein besonderes Uhrwerk ist, ist es doch hübsch anzusehen.+ die Leuchtelemente sind groà und auch ausreichend lang im Dunkeln noch zu erkennen. Difficile de faire mieux dans cette gamme de prix. Pour moins de 270⬠Seiko nous propose une automatique de très bonne facture, très agréable à porter et à regarder. La version à cadran orange discrètement métallisé ne passe pas inaperçue mais ce n’est pas “too much”. Sinon, il y a d’autres finitions plus sobres. A l’acheteur (U.S.) mécontent qui se plaignait que sa date était en français, il lui suffisait de faire un tour de couronne de plus (!) puisque le jour peut s’afficher au choix en anglais ou en français sur le disque rotatif.Bref, un excellent choix que l’on ne regrette pas. Attention ce n’est pas une plongeuse donc étanchéité oui mais à condition de rester pas loin de la surface.

Eigentlich wollte ich mir schon vor vielen Jahren die SKX anschaffen, so ein wunderschöner Klassiker, doch wie so oft im Leben, immer kam etwas dazwischen (…meist eine andere Uhr). Bei dem “Nachfolger” (….ich sag das jetzt mal so) hab ich dann zugeschlagen, alldieweil der Preis auch gerade unschlagbar war. Was soll ich sagen, ich bin sooo froh darüber. Ein wunderschönes Stück Uhrgeschichte. Abgesehen von der nicht schraubbaren Krone, damit kann ich gut leben, hat diese Uhr keine von den Maleschen oder Herstellungsungenauigkeiten, die andere Kunden beschrieben haben. Mein Exemplar ist Top verarbeitet und alles ist akurat, so wie es sein soll….und ich bin weià Gott pingelig in solchen Dingen. Ich wünsche anderen Kunden ebenfalls ein so gut gebautes Exemplar. Unbedingte Empfehlung meinerseits.
