The Seiko Men’s 5 Automatic Silver Dial Stainless Steel Watch boasts high-tech Japanese automatic movement hidden behind classic analog styling. Precise 21-jewel Japanese automatic movement keeps this watch functioning without a battery: It is powered automatically with the movement of your arm. This high-tech feature is tucked away behind the watch’s silver-toned dial, which boasts luminous silver-toned hands and baton hour markers. The dial also sports a date window at the three o’clock position, and the entire dial is protected by a mineral crystal. Keeping all of this securely on your wrist is a polished stainless steel link bracelet that closes with a fold-over double push-button safety clasp. Other features include a stainless steel case and water-resistance to 99 feet (30 meters).

    Quality , accuracy.
I’m very happy with this watch. Inexpensive, however it is a SEIKO. And that is enough for me. And it looks great!

Classy but not flashy and priced well
Seiko probably has the best automatic movement outside of Switzerland. However a Swiss watch cannot be had with an automatic movement for the value of this watch or even close. The watch looks better in person than the picture lets on. It will lose time if not worn every day but that is too be expected of an automatic watch. When being worn daily it keeps accurate time and is easy to read at a glance. The face is not too big and the watch is lighter than I was expecting.I would say the only things I don’t like about the watch are as with all but Skagen mesh metal bands, the band does occasionally pulls arm hair. The other thing is small as well, I think the Seiko 5 logo looks like the superman symbol.

    Fantastic watch– picture is misleading
I received this watch roughly a month ago. I am nothing short of ecstatic regarding how it functions, because it keeps perfect time as far as I can tell. However, the only reason why I give this watch a 4-star rating is because the picture is misleading. I was surprised and a bit disappointed to see when I opened it that the face of the watch is covered in roughly twenty “5” (because of the Seiko 5 logo) logos all over the face in a grid-like fashion, and it glints as you tilt the watch in the light. Had I known this before I bought it I probably wouldn’t have gotten it, and gone with a watch that I knew had a plain face. That said, I still wear the watch on a regular basis and I do enjoy it. I would indeed recommend this to anyone else that does like the patterns on the face, however be careful if you want a plain face.

    Excellent & functional watch
It’s been awhile since this watch has been reviewed by a purchaser, so, while I don’t often take the time to review, this Seiko watch does deserve the praise it’s due. I’m thrilled with this watch: size, style, and accuracy. I’ve had no issues with the automatic mechanism. In my opinion, the chain-link watch band and the silver dial gives this model a perfect balance so it looks great with casual or formal attire. I give this watch my highest recommendation!

    Not impressed for the price
By no means am I watch expert but this feels substantially less quality at this price point. The dial is pretty small so unless you like a 36 or smaller, I would avoid. Also beware the face of the dial has the “five” emblem plastered all over it. It was hardly noticeable on the photos here. Additionally, not my preference maybe it’s yours, but the day window has both Arabic and English.Watch arrived on time with decent packaging and seemed to be in working order mechanically. Due to the features, I wasn’t expecting and the overall look and feel at this price point I immediately returned. Would not have bought if I saw it in person first.

    Gorgeous!!
It looks very good in the picture and although I was a bit skeptical I went ahead and ordered this knowing that If I was not quite satisfied I could return it. Boy I was so wrong. When I opened the packaging I was amazed on how it looks in person, I own a Rolex Milgauss and as far as the finish and appearance is concerned they are almost identical. I am sure the internals would not be comparable but for $70 vs. $7800 I would hope so.Overall I will be wearing this watch as my “daily” because I like the weight and how comfortable it feels on my wrist. As far the hair pinch I have not experienced that with any of my metal clasp watches, perhaps I am just not that hairy..

Watch needs to be reset constantly
First of all, removing links from the band was a pain. Then, we realized the watch kept freezing overnight/after not being used, which is unexpected for an automatic. We took it to a repair shop, they took the watch apart. They fixed the issue for a few days, and then the problem came back. Super unreliable watch, I love Seikos but this one is not it.

Bought this as my first automatic movement. The dial looks way better in person. The photos dosen’t do it justice. The only con to this watch us the bracelet. The links are pretty cheap but it adds character

Orologio molto bello!

Solid steel and a good big bracelet make this a good build. The movement is tried and tested and the face is lovely. There seems to be some confusion in the feedback. This is a purely mechanical watch with a rotor powering a spring. If you find you don’t have enough power take time out to swing your arm backwards and forwards a fair few times………..the power stored in the spring will be increased.I am chuffed with this watch…………a watch that looks good, has a good movement, and should last indefinitely if looked after.Five stars.
