Value for Dollar
This is a pilot chronograph/slide rule watch. I've been flying for 40 years, ten of that as a Naval Aviator. I like chronograph watches and I still enjoy using them when I fly. I also retain my fondness of the old E6 "whiz wheel" flight computers. They don't need batteries and often you can make calculations quicker than with digital calculators. If you enjoy using the circular slide rule function and this is a good value. The inner scale is a bit hard to read but that's what cheaters are for. It does not have the "10" index in red which is cumbersome but for the money it is not bad. It keeps good time and it's easy to see in poor light. Solar power feature is nice. Nice wide lugs.

    I had been looking at this watch for months before I decided to pull the trigger on it. Seiko makes great watches so I wasn't worried about the quality. This is my third Seiko but the first solar watch that I purchased from Seiko. This watch isn't for everyone because of the cream color dial and black case but I really like the combination. The watch is a great size at 44mm. The leather band is very thick. You can't tell it in the picture but the side of the leather band is covered in a shinny substance. It bothered me looking at it at first but you really can't tell it's there unless you look at it closely. The top of the watch case is a matte finish but the side of the case is a shinny finish. I really wish the whole case was in the matte finish. The shinny finish gives the watch a cheap look and that is my one major gripe about the watch but I definitely think the watch worth the $200 price.

    This is a very nice watch for me. I wanted something not too pricey and looks great. Very nice watch for $200.00 for me. Has a timer and second hand.

    I’m disappointed as this was my first Seiko and I’ve heard …

    I just received it today, DOA. It’s going back. I put it in direct sunlight for 3rs, nothing. It’s supposed to start after 8 min in direct sunlight, and get a 10 day charge after 36 min. Also, the upper pusher feels very dead, no click at all. I’m disappointed as this was my first Seiko and I’ve heard so much good about them.
