Not a chronograph if that’s your bag
This is a heavy watch but I knew that owning an SKS diver. The bracelet is an upgrade from the old and very nice in the comfort area but really great in appearance. I like the Pepsi inner ring which is why I selected the 19 of course. The friction bezel is fine but needs attention before you make calculations since it moves rather easily..not a biggie for me. The watch is quite slow and not likely to improve too much but I just reset when it too far off. The bubble over the date makes reading the date far easier. I like sapphire but the Hardlex looks fine as long as it isn’t scratched which I am trying not to do. The wind feature and GMT hand are really deal makers but the real reason I wanted this is because despite the shortcomings it is just a beautiful watch and I admire it every chance I get just as I did when I bought my Seamaster Omega. You either like the watch or you don’t but you cannot be turned off by the price in my opinion.

Love this Seiko GMT with the classic “Pepsi” style. I own some high-end Swiss watches but now I find myself wearing this Seiko 5 pretty much on a daily basis. I switched the bracelet for a soft rubber strap with metal curved end links and this was a game changer for me. The watch is suitable for frequent travelers with the need to keep track of different time zones or simply those who like the watch, period. I personally think that at this price range ($343 for me at the time I purchased), this watch is a quite a good bargain. I suspect that this price will go up in the future as the watch becomes more scarce and supply & demand starts working its magic. So if you’re considering it, get it while you can

I really like this watch. I love the glass bezel. I wish it was a pepsi style bezel.The gmt function is very useful for me. It keeps good time.

You know what youâre buying. Seiko makes a great affordable GMT. If youâre looking for a fancy GMT youâre at the wrong price point. This is a great GMT to have as a tool. Accurate and affordable. Glad to add it to my everyday wear collection.
