What’s in a name? The Chemin des Tourelles takes its name from the street that leads to Tissot’s home in the Swiss mountains, where we’ve been crafting beautiful watches since 1853. It’s our icon, an ultra-sophisticated wristwatch. Note its smooth round case and gently domed sapphire crystal, two symbols of ageless modernity. Just as refined is the dial with its soft sun-ray finish and faceted Roman numerals that catch the light in just the right way. And inside it? The Nivachron Powermatic 80, an automatic mechanical movement that delivers 80 hours of power and all-day anti-magnetism. The watch time will never touch.

Nice watch, poor support
DO NOT PURCHASE THIS FROM AMAZON.My wife bought me this watch for Christmas. I LOVE the watch, but the support is abysmal. Amazon did not provide an International Warranty Card, so I contacted Tissot. They told me to contact the retailer (Amazon). So I contacted Amazon. They told me to contact Tissot. I said that I had, and they said it is the responsibility of the retailer to provide the warranty card. So they said (again) contact the manufacturer. I said I DID and they said to contact Amazon. And they (Amazon ‘Customer support’) said “I’m sorry we don’t have any options.”Fortunately I got to this point before the deadline for returning the watch. The Customer Service person I dealt with processed a return request for me and the watch will be on its way back to Amazon this afternoon. I will also be writing to Tissot to tell them about how their US retailer supports their customers. The only thing large corporations care about is money, so the only way to get their attention is to withhold that. I will never make an important purchase from Amazon again, and I will make sure that all my friends are aware of this experience – hopefully they will also take their business elsewhere.

Great watch with one caveat
This is a good looking everyday watch that keeps excellent time. My one criticism is that Tissot uses a âbutterfly claspâ on the band, this is my second Tissot watch with this feature, and they should discontinue this practice. Iâm guessing they use it because they believe it gives the watch an upscale look, but the clasp is bulky, clumsy to use and looks cheap. At the very least, Tissot should also include a conventional buckle with the watch so the purchaser has a choice.
