Not as nice as the pictures
I was excited to receive this watch, with its stunningly beautiful blue dials and classic looks with the renowned Tissot quality.Unfortunately, when I received the watch I was underwhelmed on all counts:1. The contrast was not as dramatic as the pictures, even in good light2. The blue dials, which look spectacularly vivid in the pictures are more of a metallic pastel in person3. The quality – I could hear it ticking on my wrist! In contrast, both my Bulova watches are silent, one of which is at the cheapest end of their selection.I ended up returning the Tissot and purchasing a Fossil that had the look I like. The replacement Fossil is completely silent, and it looks every bit as good as the picture.

Swiss watches are great. They are famous for their movements. Tissot watches are made in Switzerland. (not just the movement, the whole watch)The box was heavy when I received it. The box looks like a stack of books. There are two thick bound books that come with it. One book tells you the history of Tissot and the other is a full-color catalog of the Tissot collection. (they make many different styles of watches) On the other side, there is a flip-up door that reveals the watch. The watch is on a small pillow and comes with a pouch.On the side, there is a small ribbon tab to pull to find the manual for 3 hand watches.The face is elegant and simple. The roman numerals are easy to read. The second-hand clicks along steadily and without shaking or hesitation. (as a smooth Swiss watch should)The three hands look black at certain angles and light blue at other angles. The hands also shine when they appear as blue.The band is black leather and has a nice clasp. The excess band is held in place by two leather loops. The band takes a couple of days to start breaking in. Like any leather band, it starts out stiff and gets more comfortable as you wear it. I barely notice the watch is on my wrist.On the bottom is a date. You set this by pulling the knob out halfway. (there are two distinct clicks when you pull the knob) It has no way to know how many days are in a month do you need to reset it on the first of the month or whenever you notice that it is off. (the second or third for me)The crystal is synthetic sapphire and should be resistant to scratches in most cases. (don’t work on a car wearing it of course) The stainless case is durable and looks great. The face and hands have a simple and elegant design. This watch is elegant enough to be dressy and simple enough to be worn every day.
