The best Swiss-made tool watch, very well made yet subtle
I don’t need to list all of the features and attributes of this watch… look at Tudor’s website for that. What I can tell you is why I bought this instead of a Rolex Submariner or any other sub-$12K mechanical diver’s watch.First, the watch has a titanium case and band (with a stainless steel back). About 60% the weight of a Rolex or Tudor steel-cased diver’s watch of the same diameter. Unlike a Rolex, the matte finish makes it less blingy… less noticeable for the casual observer, and for me that was a good thing. However, it is a quietly elegant watch, with the ceramic bezel with lume and coin edge. Like a Rolex (because they’re made in the same factory), this is a COSC-certified chronometer. My Pelagos exceeds the +6/-4 seconds per day standard as verified by my Citizen GPS-sync’d quartz EcoDrive watch. It is also rated to 500m rather than the Sub’s 300M rating, and has the same helium release valve as the Rolex Sea Dweller. It also comes with a second rubber watchband, for diving or casual wear, so you can dress it down to wear it in the pool, snorkeling, fishing, or scuba diving. The 70-hour reserve means you can take it off on Friday evening and put it back on Monday morning and it is still running and on time. Honestly, this is the watch that Rolex would replace the Submariner with, if that watch wasn’t so popular… because this is how the Submariner would have been designed if designed today.Buy a Rolex if you want the brand, but know that you aren’t getting a better watch, just a more expensive one.

Solid time piece. Balanced well, came with an extra rubber strap. The adjustable clasp is genius. Those who know watches know about Tudor. If you’re searching for a a quality piece without the insane price, you won’t be disappointed. Owned mine for over a year and have zero complaints.
