The watch winder uses the Japanese Mabuchi Motor and Gear Box. When the watch winder is on and running, you will barely hear it due to the quietness of the motor. The motor is designed with zero magnetization so it will not harm your watches.

Absolutely Perfect! – Super Quiet!
This thing is outstanding. The price and quality is incredible. It’s super quiet and keeps my watch running like a champ.I have this right next to my bed running every night. I’m really sensitive to any little noise while I sleep and this has never woken me up. It does makes some noise but it’s VERY quiet. Also the noise it makes is very soft sounding and not disruptive. It kind of sounds like the flow of water through a distant pipe or a light breeze. You can only hear it if you’re within about 5ft of it. Otherwise it’s silent.The watch pillow that comes with it is a really great design. It’s spring-loaded with a perfectly tensioned spring. Not to hard, not too soft. Keeps the watch securely on the pillow without any fear of it putting unneeded stress on the band. Really pleased with it. I might even try to buy more of these watch pillows for my other watch boxes.There’s no LED light like some of the others which is great if you ask me.My only complaint is that when it completes rotating, the watch will be in some random orientation. I’d love it if it would stop perfectly vertical.Overall very pleased and I think most people would be as well.

Good Winder
I purchased this winder for a Tissot LeLocle Automatic, which was running out of steam often because I like to wear it to work but not on weekends. This one seemed to match the watch’s style, with its black, textured leather exterior and discreet but noticeable stitching. It came to me in great condition, with only a minor, light scuff on the side (which may have just been a natural flaw in the leather). It works well, and is very quiet, but not completely silent. I can hear it running when I’m within 6 feet of it and there is no other ambient noise in the room. It produces a low buzz or hum that is not enough to wake even the lightest of sleepers, but might be slightly annoying to those who want complete silence in the room.After a week or so of use, it is keeping my watch well wound, and free of dust as well. It has 3 settings for rotations per day, and three settings for clockwise, counterclockwise, or both. One strange aspect, however, is that the power cord plug that goes into the wall sticks straight out by several inches, so that you may need some sort of adapter or extension cord if you’re trying to plug this into a tight space.

Works well but watch may not fit well
It’s silent, it looks nice, it has the proper settings (for rotational direction and turns per day), and it seems to work as advertised.The only problem is that the inserted piece that holds the watch in place is not large enough to snugly hold my men’s watch with a metal bracelet. I have an Omega with one link in the bracelet removed. It’s way too loose around the insert. It does come with a little black disc you can put under the watch to help with this problem. But even with that disc, the watch still does not fit firmly. It just barely worked, with the watch sort of sinking with each rotation. My solution was to fold up the cleaning cloth it comes with and stuff that along with the disc under the watch. With that, the watch fits well and stays in place. But of course that’s not an ideal situation.

Great appearance / smooth operation for an attractive price
The cherrywood color is fantastic, and the ability to set different winder speeds as well as choosing direction (clockwise, counter, or alternating) really gives me everything I needed from a winder. I wasn’t looking for a collector’s piece, or one that cost would cost me a significant fraction of my watch’s cost (an RGM160M), and this fit the bill. Unlike some reviews, I have not has any issue with noise after two weeks. You can hear soft gear movement if the bedroom is completely quiet and I stand close to it, but in essence it is silent. I also have it set on the 950 rotational setting so I’m rarely in the room as the same time as it operates intermittently throughout the day.

Beautiful Piece – Looks are deceiving
I have used several settings on this winder to keep my Rolex working with the correct time. When removed, time has to be adjusted, not minutes, but hours. Pillow too small, watch fits loose and moves during rotation. One other good thing besides being a beautiful piece it does run very quiet. I am returning winder for refund, the negative comments on this piece were correct. Do not waste your time and money on this one. I will be buying a high-end dollar winder again, my last one lasted 24 years. Cheap is China, you would think we in the USA would have figured that out by now.
