This strap is awesome
I was looking for a high-quality leather replacement strap for an Oris. The standard Amazon search brings up the normal purveyors. After a few tweaks to the search parameters, this strap popped up. It is a little more expensive than others, but well worth it. The color and style matched the description perfectly. With a careful examination I found the quality exceptional. It may even be a little better than the Oris OEM. It is a great strap and wears nicely. I will be a repeat customer of Watch Gecko. I highly recommend this brand and, specifically, this vintage-inspired strap.

This feels like a genuine leather strap of decent quality. I think it’ll take quite a while to break in, which to me is a good sign of being good quality. I’ve never had a good quality leather product (that wasn’t soft leather) that didn’t need breaking in, but once you do it’s the most comfortable thing you can own and last for donkeys years.It was easy to install on my Samsung Galaxy Active (original) and was a good fit with no concerns about it falling off. Unfortunately the strap was a bit big for me and though I do have fairly skinny wrists it’s not often I’ve found a watch strap to just be too big.Despite my comments, I do think this is over-priced. I couldn’t make a solid call on what I think it should be, but nearly £70 for a watch strap is bordering on extortionate. I’d think £30 or even £40 would be at the very upper edge of what I’d expect, but even then I’d need convincing that a couple of small strips of leather would even be worth that much, no matter how well made.

The purchase price of this watchstrap is the first indicator that it is anything but the normal run of the mill replacements that you can purchase for your watch. Whilst it does cost a fair price (£68 at the time of this review), arguably, if you are an owner of a high-end timepiece, you will want to ensure that you are using the best materials and design to showcase it.From the point of unboxing the strap, you can instantly see where the extra money is going, as it is a thing of real beauty. It is easy to see that a lot of care has been made into creating it, which is largely due to being handmade, so lots of attention to detail has been afforded throughout.The design of the strap is one of a classic look in a light tan colouring, which in my opinion enhances the overall look. There is some lovely stitch work across the whole strap and great additional detailed stitching work on the top side edges and at the end of the strap, which is a lovely feature.The strap size I have is the 20mm version and is probably one of the more universal sizes available. Installing the strap onto a watch is really straightforward thanks to the quick release lugs.When wearing the strap it is nice and comfortable to wear straight out of the box and will only get more comfortable with continued use, as the leather will soften up over time. In addition, the strap looks incredibly classy and elegant on your wrist and really finishes your watch of fantastically.I am very happy with this watch strap. I love that it is handmade and all of the detailing that has been included, in particular, the branding looks really good on the underside of the strap and on the buckle. A truly great product for someone that wants their watch to standout from the rest of the crowd. Highly recommended.
