I can’t even believe it
I don’t have a massive collection, but all of my watches are autos. As such, I’ve had a handful of winders that do the whole 360 deg. rotation in varied directions, and they don’t seem to wind some of my chronographs which are simply outfitted with barely modified Valjoux 7750 movements. However, within 5 minutes on this winder, every watch in my collection would begin moving its seconds hand. This is a great piece, and I hope it last a long time, as I love the premise of it’s design, using magnetic push-pull.Get it now, it’s fantastic. Not a paid endorsement, did not receive anything for free…it really does a great job.

Double watch holder
Great price works terrific on all my self winding watches or you can do one at a time with supplied weight

Works well for the price but power cable is annoying
Pretty easy to set up and use with the included instructions. Successfully charged my watch on the first try. Sounds a bit like a grandfather clock when it’s running, but fairly quiet. The only reason I’m giving this 4 stars is because the included USB power cable is only 2 or 3 feet long, and the plug on the unit is a coaxial type rather than a USB. So unless I want to put this on the floor to use it, it will need a USB extension cable.(Also, this may not work well for ladies’ watches if you have a small wrist. I have a fairly average size wrist for a man and I had to squeeze the bracket pretty tightly to get my watch onto the winder.)

Use only with small, light waches
It was working fine, though you cnnot control the speed. Some watches have pendulums that are a bit stiff and don’t move well because this product moves very faat. One day I found it broken because it couldn’t take the weight of a larger watch.

Delicate, but managed well works like a xharm
This contraption costs about â of a traditional wonderI need a winder because my wrist does not move enough to wind the watch. My Vostoc keeps excellence time if wound up properly. I love mechanical watches but this under winding has been a problem. Until now.First, position the device on a sturdy surface. The top of the A/C unit is NOT a good placeSecond, shim the base with some card stock to take out any and all shaking.Third, pay attention to the swinging carriage.leaving the dead weight alone, hang the watch on the other sideMake SURE the watch is centered in the clamp.Fourth, plug it into a USB source. The little RED LED should come on.Lastly, press the little button until the GREEN LED turns on.Make sure the carriage is free to swing, nothing rubs on nothingIf you want, replace the counterweight with a second watch. The little pamphlet says it all, with color pictures.Disadvantages; one – if the watch is not on your wrist, you cannot see the time. The setup is finicky. Don’t drop the unit nor cook it, but even minute drag will stop it. But it works and is fascinating to watch.I have two units. They will not stop working unless something is dragging on something.

Noiseless and very efficient
If you need instructions to assemble this winder, well you don’t. Super simple to assemble and I cannot read the instructions anyway because they are in Chinese…lolIt’s produces no noise at all and works on a magnetic principle so it should last a very long time.It comes with a weight for the second watch side (if you only have one automatic watch to wind) and it’s powered by a USB cable so I plugged it into a spare port on my computer. Is it worth what I paid for it? Certainly is. Very unique and well executed design and oscillates on frictionless bearings.Sitting next to me right now, winding my Seiko 5 sports automatic watch. I’m very impressed.Buy one, you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent product
Update after two months use: This winder works perfectly. I’ve found that a 12 hour wind every couple of weeks is sufficient to keep the capacitor fully charged. If it stops working anytime soon I’ve got my money’s worth and will order another.Fully charged my Seiko Kinetic in one 12 hour session. Unit makes very little noise and works as advertised. As others have noted, the winder requires a little manual push to initially start swinging. IMHO, this is more of a feature than a bug since having an automatic start function would serve little purpose and would make the winder more complex. Haven’t had it long enough to judge reliability, but the only moving part rides on two steel bearings so this shouldn’t be an issue.
