A killer haunts Prophet, and this time it’s personal
The discovery of a body at the Thompson Cabins sets off a chain of events that hits too close to home for Sheriff Gabriel Thompson. When his brother Sam becomes a prime suspect in the murder investigation, Gabriel is forced to keep secrets from Tiber and call in outside help as he fights to prove Sam’s innocence. It’s a nightmare that becomes all consuming.
Tiber Russo, animal whisperer, is dealing with problems of his own. A stalker threatens him and his entire menagerie of pets. With Gabriel wrapped up in the new case, Tiber tries to solve the mystery on his own. Who in the sleepy town of Prophet wants to do him harm? But when the threats turn lethal, Tiber finds himself in over his head.
Tiber and Gabriel have solved two murders together and started a deep relationship. But this time the forces ranged against them are personal and the target is on them and on the backs of everyone they love. With each of them isolated trying to protect the other, their strength is diminished. Even with the love they share, can they make it out of this alive?

Great End To Trilogy
Gabriel’s past comes back in this book to try and destroy him by hurting his loved ones. I am sad to see this end because I loved them and their pack of animals so much.
With another body found this time with heavy evidence that Sam is the culprit Gabriel is keeping things close. He is trying to protect Tiber and Sam both. He even calls in another sheriff so no one can claim he’s letting Sam slide because they brothers.
Tiber’s got his own troubles with someone stalking him, kidnapping Frank and poisoning one his babies. Thankfully they are safe with fast finding and action. I do habe say if they hadn’t kept things from each other would have realized sooner, bit I get the protection and wanting to lesson burden.
Before the end things are discovered and Gabriel’s belief of something he thought knew is rocking his world. It nearly got his family taken out.
Loved the love Gabriel and Tiber have for each other and their family plus the pack of animals that are their babies. Sex was hot as always. The ending was sweet. So happy on how it ended close to where it all began in the park near the rocks.
I’ll be picking up more from both of these authors in future.

Excellent Read
I love this series. Eli Easton does not disappoint. Her writings are brilliant. So much so that a few of them I re-read every year.
Thank you, Ms Easton, thank you!

Very enjoyable mystery
I’ve really enjoyed the Lake Prophet series and watching the relationship between Tiber and Gabriel grow. All of the small-town charm is there as another murder hits the area, this time with Gabriel’s brother as a prime suspect. As in the previous books, Tiber and Gabriel don’t always do the best job of communicating, but their love stays strong as they sort through the threads of danger all around them. I was especially taken by “the pack” and Tiber’s deep connection to all things related to animals. The HEA is just glorious. I’m not sure if there will be another book in this series, but I definitely have enjoyed my time spent in Lake Prophet, watching the various mysteries be solved.

Nice conclusion to the series
The third volume feels like the conclusion, though since these are murder mysteries, there can always be more. The stress in Tiber and Gabriel’s relationship is painful, but it won’t come as a surprise to fans that there’s an HEA. I love the setting, really enjoy the main characters, love the animals. Probably the only issues I had were the numerous typos and one or the other author insisting on using the phrase “It was everything” (with “everything” italicized) to indicate love. I’d rather the characters find some other use of words, however inadequate, to express their feelings. That phrase was used at least six times in the book, by two different characters. Those issues aside, I enjoyed this book and the entire series.

Did not finish
Basically a waste of my money, not liking anyone anymore, nor do I care who did it or why.
